QUOTE(syncomp @ Dec 14 2016, 07:12 PM) Yes. As long as it is not a free upgrade you are eligible to get ones. But of course its depend on hardware and technical cause. If you are on FTTH, you are on the higher chance to get free upgrade. Consistent download speed.Steady download speed/solid 46 Mbps or slowly increasing download speed? |

QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 22 2016, 10:04 AM) all the while UniFi sign up online will get one month free. It is slower progress (min 1 to 2 weeks) but can get one mth free to offset certain amount of the installation charge which is good too. It's standardized everywhere to get one month free if you sign up with "proper" agent. this free one mth thing has been around for many many years. [attachmentid=8292983] If you want more you can check out garage sales. I signed up with an agent here and got myself 1.5 months worth of rebate. |

I'm just curious what will happen to those 50Mbps user who couldn't get the free upgrade to 100Mbps because their area is unsupported?

QUOTE(deadravel @ Jan 3 2017, 03:45 PM) my sis house just upgrade from 20 -> 50mb , remain same price rm249 I have this problem before, random disconnection. My router was the DLink standard TM router given 3-4 years ago. Changed router and no issue anymore. but recontract 2years. anyway, guys i need help. my sis house unifi play online game will keep on DC and reconnect bak every few minutes, ping is low, doing other online activities no problem game play like dota2, cso, and those real time online game sure dc one dono why. ask tm personel come n chk they say nth wrong, i suspect is tm router problem can anyone help? should i buy a better router n replace the tm one? Anyway since your sister is using 50Mbps you probably need to ask her to invest on a better router to fully utilize the speed. Let's not forget that she will get upgraded to 100Mbps not too far away from now too. A good one with AC capability would help. |

QUOTE(calk @ Jan 3 2017, 09:52 PM) I got my unifi upgraded to 30MB but never able to achieve 30mbps and most 20.86mbps typical only around 15mbps.. is there any other things which I need to do to achieve the 30mbps speed?? did reset the router and fibre optics many times but seen the same.. Your 20Mbps is wired or wireless connection? If it's wireless then try wired connection and see if you can get 30Mbps +- 5%?might need to call TM to check this and the STB also seen like koyak after not turning it on for years.. |

So it's January or April for the free upgrade? I'm getting mixed answers here. The FAQ which previously existed was only applicable for those who signed up during Dec promotion period. Wonder if they would do from Jan for those old timers

QUOTE(wiraone @ Jan 5 2017, 07:10 PM) Nobody can answer you here. And calling 100 or using webchat/tweeter/fb won't give you the correct answer either (or the answer you're expecting). So, just sit and wait for now! Seems like some already start receiving calls?Saw one thread in kopitiam. But take it with a grain of salt la |

Honestly, I feel the speed upgrade promotion is a marketing gimmick trying to get as much people registered as possible. It does not make sense to maintain so many separate packages with different pricing and speed, especially since they revamp the UniFi from the VIP (3) to Advance (2).

QUOTE(mylinear @ Jan 7 2017, 03:33 PM) This is what I think too and mentioned in an earlier post. This promo is to sign up new users and also shift old user to higher priced package with the offer. They need users to pay a higher monthly fee overall. After all, if it is true that in 2 years time there will be a price reduction, they need a higher price now so that they don't lose that much later on. If prices are lower now, then it will be even lower later and they will lose a lot. You are very right.I think all this started before the budget, not because of the budget. When they removed the VIP packages and made the entry level package at 30M. Though I do not have actual figures, my guess is that most users were on VIP5 initially. Getting most of them to move to RM179/199 meant increase in monthly revenue. Also, if it is true that there will be a lower Unifi-10 package later, then they have to make sure as many users as possible move to higher packages before it is introduced. Otherwise many users may want the lower packages if their usage is not that great. What better way than to have promos as all of us seems to always jump into such offers and promos whether we actually need it or not. So afraid of losing out... I still think later on package prices cannot be too far away from these promo prices as these promo prices seems to be a baseline price for them. Or at least sometime later on, they will again have similar promos. I also think there really needs to be a lower entry level package, like a 10M. When current packages are 30 / 50 / 100, then 30M seems like a high entry point. Meaning if you have such packages as 200 / 500 / 1G, then you can say 30 or 50M is an entry level. But when your highest is 100M, then an entry level should be more like 10 or 20M. Just opinions, I guess we'll soon find out more in some weeks/months... |

How do you guys check if your area is eligible for 100Mbps? As I know this package is limited to selected areas only.
