for sure they want to impose minimum buy when using card... where as per BNM regulation, no minimum amount needed to buy when using card...

wonder why they want to impose minimum amount for buying goods as bank charge them on amount, not per transactions... it still same either rm1000 amount made by 20 transactions compare rm1000 made by 1 transaction...

or any other charge bank imposed on terminal for many transaction or my knowledge is wrong where bank charge on transaction????

The act of swiping your card again on the POS system after paying with the terminal is called "Double Swiping" and is actually prohibited by BNM. Usually it's because the merchant's POS system is not integrated with the payment terminal, and they do this for both system & terminal to tally.

In any case if the payment is already made with Samsung Pay, providing the physical card will be no use too. Instead, if merchant really needs a number to enter to their system, can provide the last 4 digits as shown in Samsung Pay (Last 4 digits for cashier).


or if really need to swipe on POS, can just tap Samsung Pay on the POS terminal swipe area like this:

This was what happened to me at some older Starbucks branches. Need to tap twice. The 2nd one where you tap near the screen is it mst only? Cause once I used cimb pay which can only be used with nfc and the 2nd tap can't be registered and I didn't bring my card. Ended up the cashier just void my purchase and I got free latte. Lol

Went to counter to buy RM1.60 mineral water.

"boss minumum rm30"
Handed out rm100
"boss ada kecil?"
"I ada credit card"

Spay rush at the end and bringing of the month. and I notice my spending has become x3 since I started it. Not good. Lol

I think it depends on store. I just bought something at mynews for rm19.90 and paid with SPay.

Taman Midah/ TTDI/ Pandan Mewah's McD so far ok, no problem for me with Spay.
Just that sometimes will print the signature required paper first before the receipt order.
Which normally the staff will just put it in the drawer without my signature.

I encountered this once and it was at McD.

I don't know but some forumer claimed so.

I usually put in between to improve success rate.

unlikely, all transaction would have to go through credit card network before they approve the transaction.

unless they "bypass" it, like the old time, where you can accept credit card "offline"

hmm, thats weird, if it's offline, how it contact Samsung Pay server to inform that your SPay account just clocked a transaction and to credit you the point ?
