Does anyone know if the points are tied to your Samsung account, or the device? Will I lose the accumulated points if I reformat my phone?

It's tied to your Samsung account bro. No worries.

I had to hard reset my phone 2 weeks ago. After logging in to Samsung Pay, my points are still there as they were, however, any saved card will disappear. Need to add your card(s) again.

I used to fuel-up petrol at Petronas Jalan Paroi-Senawang.
Yesterday, it no longer accept Samsung Pay anymore.
I don't know whats the issue.

What do you mean since yesterday, they no longer accept Samsung Pay anymore?

Were you using Samsung Pay at the self service kiosk to pump petrol?

They accept before.
I have used it many times at this petrol station.

Start from now, their management do not want to accept Samsung Pay anymore.

Can use Samsung Pay at self service pump kiosk?
Which is the correct procedure?

A) Samsung Pay - swipe mesra card - approved - done
B) Samsung Pay - swipe mesra card - approved - fuel up - Samsung Pay - done

Some station use B.

Thanks.

Whattt? I guess I'm the last person to come to know about this. I thought it'll never work with machine that needs to slot in the card like Petrol station using.

All this while I thought Samsung Pay won't work hence I've been swiping my cc as usual.

I wanted to try but I was scared it would be dangerous to use the phone at the pump hence never tried before. I'm also worried some might be concerned when they see people using their phone at the pump.

So how do you do it? Just hold your phone at the black card reader?

Don't get me wrong.
It won't work with readers where you need to physically insert your card into a slot such as those found at gas stations and on ATMs.

Not sure at BHP as some petrol kiosk equip with NFC(PayWave/PayPass).
Anyone can confirm this?

Thanks.

So what you meant by using Samsung Pay is you went inside at the cashier to pay?

I thought can use at the pump itself where we would usually insert our card into the reader.

I have not tried using Samsung Pay at BHP PayPass enabled pumps because all the cards I have are Visa, but I have tried using Samsung Pay at pump but they always fail. What I do is that I use my driving license to trigger the card reading switch, I done it at Caltex, Petron and Petronas all failed. The pumps do read my card especially Caltex where is the transaction fails it will print out a receipt and my receipt said "Swipe method" which means it read the Samsung Pay MST but cannot authenticate.

So Samsung Pay doesn't work at the pump itself right?

Good move. I find using spay is much more convenient. It is much easier to take out our phone from pocket than take the wallet then the card inside the wallet.

This! Main reason to use SPay.
