Guys zaku big gun worth buying or not

Or zaku with big guns. Vs zaku psycho hg
*
U reffering to this zaku?
user posted image

I like the big gun but since i'm OOB builder i do notice that the big gun looks more of a toy gun than a real gun, definitely need some painting and customization to make it looks better

Should have used third party water slide decal.

But congratz.
*
i use third party decals and left over decals from other MG, hate the sticker, the marking and even the fonts seems so old school sweat.gif
If u mean a full set of Water decals for Rx-78-2, i search around and found only MG, RG and Mega size but no PG sad.gif

Yeap. I can't forget that A4-sized sheet.
Nah I saw them on ebay. Maybe you'll find it in Taobao.
*
That would cost too much for just a decal, any physical shop that have a lot of range of decals, I saw this Gundam workshop in Kota Damansara seems to have a few batch of decals but haven't visit it yet

1) saw a couple unboxing, no deco or decal sheet provided

2) maybe try to coat one layer before doing panel line? Not an expert in this field tho

3) I did a layer of gloss on the rg Sinanju, imo it make it even more shinning

hm..... that's bad, a couple of red decal will make it looks better. Anyway certain part of High Res Wing Gundam is much more shining/ glossy compare to normal part. Aaaaargh now I stuck myself here  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
went to Gamersarena One Utama ytd, have a chat with the sales person, he's assembling the Wing Custom and show me his progress, well everything is gloss and he recommend using Godhand to avoid sanding too much or break the gold coat on the v fin. Very friendly staff he even let me try the GodHand single blade, damn that thing is so tempting, does take much effect to trim anything and the result is good, still thinking of getting one but the price cry.gif

My 2 cents opinion:
Yes it does makes a difference.

Many years back I used to own a pair of Tamiya cutter but somehow it rusted after few years and I threw it away.

Recently I bought a pair of cheap cutter (blue plamo one) but ended up finding out that I need to do a lot of sanding after cutting. Fed up, yesterday went and bought a pair of Tamiya side cutter slim jaw version and the amount of effort is a lot lesser now.

Oh btw, my 1st Tamiya cutter was bought in year 2002 and I stopped gunpla in 2004.

and now I'm back tongue.gif
*
Welcome back! Guess i will get a pair of SPN 120 this coming Sunday, after seeing through various video showcasing the the amount of nub and stress after each cut, I guess it really will help with my build time, but one thing to worry, they say the blade is very fragile, yet i see video showing people review by cutting the runner itself blink.gif , so what to be avoid when using this type of nipper?? how tough is tough when they say some runner part can break the blade?

Found some guide, now I hesitate again sad.gif

HLJ staff claim the hi-res break his nipper, but again he been using for 100+ kits as he claimed sweat.gif

Well, I'm not questioning the efficiency of God Hand as I've used it a couple of times (not mine). While it was impressive, the cutting result was still not as per what I could achieve with proper blade and often need further trimming and filing.

Other people might be content with the result so if they can afford it, that's great, especially for OOB builders. For me, I always paint my kits even though I don't customize them so reasonably well-trimmed pieces are important, something I just can't achieve with nipper alone.

And reading the precautions from the reddit post, if I was compelled to be delicate when using those expensive nippers, then the alternative is obvious: get a disposable RM5 side cutter and I can cut on the big runner piece itself.
*
So much mix feeling about this nipper
I use a hasegawa nipper, cost about 60-80 if i remembered, what bother me is the sanding and polishing, whenever i cut a part expecially with a big gate, i spend like 2-3 mins of constant rubbing with sanding tool and polishing just to get rid of the stress mark (white surface), is that normal? If god hand still require amount of trimming and sanding/polishing, maybe i will skip it sad.gif

Will be travelling to osaka next week. Thinking to hand carry a PG banshee back since cheaper to buy from japan but is it worth to get from japan? Concern will get tax when reach malaysia then end up more expensive then buying from local retail.

Anyone tried before? Please share. Thanks.
*
why not get those metal build or composite? smaller in size and much cheaper imo

Action figure gundam is always cost more than Gunpla, i guess because it require some handy work (some paint job is done by hand if i'm not mistaken), however i dislike action figure as they appear to be less details as most part aren't seperate parts but one mould with paint job

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Examine the head u will find the V Fin, Green Camera on forehead and head vulcan in Action figure are all produced in one mould and painted.

Btw, MG Wing Zero Re-released with Drei Zwerg, why don't they just launch HRIM Wing (without that prebuild inner frame that not really receiving good review) as MG instead sweat.gif
