riding kapcai should be in full gear with full face helmet. I do respect kapchai rider with full face and gear. All riders, whether kapchais or superbike are exposed to extreme condition in everyday riding

my personal opinion, go with MHR....

i doubt that the Shoei helmet is the ORI Shoei....

MHR, LS2, NUVO helmets are from the same mother company..
their helmets especially fullface helmets are cheap and got nice styling too..

bought one fulface LS2 helmet just for rm170 only..
it got ECE standard also..

but please to all motorcyclist out there..

we can say that 80% of death of motorcyclist out there can be prevented with a proper helmet and proper wearing of helmet.

yeap a cheap half helmet/MS88 might seem enough but trust me, it wont protect ur head when u need it.

at least get a Index/LTD helmet. its still around RM50 but its good enough to prevent ur head mating with the hard pavement.

i involved in an accident before,
pitch black, 2am in the morning,
right after a corner exit,
a tree has fallen across the road.. (covers both lanes)

cant do anything about it..since i was travelling at approx 70kmh..
want avoid also dunno where to go,
i did hard brake, but cannot stop completely since everything was so sudden as i just exited a sharp corner..

i hit the tree, right on my face
it feels like somebody take a baseball bat and hit you on the face..
my visor broke.

my tooth also broke..

luckily i still can handle the motorbike well,
since it was a fir tree (pokok rhu), it is flexible and i could ride through it..
thank god it was not a solid wood.. if not, i could fly already..



i was wearing open face KHI during the accident.
9 am in the morning, i straight away go see dentist.. repair my tooth, and it cost me RM300..
well, the money to repair my tooth can buy me a fullface already..

haha.. anyways, since that incident, i wear fullface helmet even go buy burger..
i ride kapcai only.. ppl always stare me.. but i dont care at all..

Need a couple of advise.

1. Am looking at the Shoei Hornet-DS full face helmets - so called dual-sports-specific between street, motorcross and fullface. Lets say with the visor and helmet shield in place, would the rider suffer from severe wind force riding a naked bike without wind shield at cruising speeds of 120-140km/h?

2. KBC and Sparx seems to have a pretty good product line-up compared to the other famous japanese helmets. Any showroom to view this helmets?

3. I have been hearing from many that it is cheaper to buy japanese branded helmets from Singapore - why is this so? Cheaper taxes?

if without windshield, sure your eyes become watery, even 80kmh u already fell it.. not good for long ride..
also sharp or tiny particles may hit ur eyes..

the other questions i dont know..

1. depends on u actually..i dont have any prob using the same helmet platform(icon variant) riding 160kmh..its all depends on how well u can tolerate the wind..

2.i think sbm motorsports have some..either way,online seller and friends..

3.they have no tax on the helmet while malaysia,u even need AP for helmets..
