haha, u know most of the laptops they sell only got RM40 profit margin per unit.
For certain low end model they just earn RM20.
SO since the market trend doesn't allow them to earn more, they have to tell you to go to service centre instead for after sales service.

RM20 for selling a laptop costing RM2000? That is absurd!! Don't believe everything people tell you unless you really know the truth. RM2000 product, the profit is at least RM100. These sales man very smart to bluff just saying profit is only RM20. Usually, they get in bulk to have bulk discount from distributor.

LOL..u seems to know everything? But again..you are wrong.

I know alot of contacts around lowyat and i know their costs of the notebook they are selling. I wont tell you how many percentage they are earning, but there are times when this seller are just earning merely RM50 for a RM3k notebook. So maybe that's y he's kinda lazy for after-sales services..which i strongly disagree this way of doing business.

I never thought the profit will be so low for selling a laptop. Anyway, the attitude of the seller will prevent more people from buying goodies from him.

it is not the amount profit that determines the quality of the After-Sales service.

if you found out the profit is small..and predicted how far the after sales service can go..just do some calculation and decide whether you wan to do the business or no.

it is either u do it good..or u don't do it..no such thing as low profit, no need care after sales..

People selling lappie are not focused on lappie, it's true their profit are low, and if add more free gift, it will be more even low. You want to know why they still want to sell it? They are selling to reach some certain target. They might get freebies, maybe u sell 100 u get 1 lappie or phone or something like that. Just my 2 cents since i work at Acer b4, so it's normally something like that smile.gif
