Anyway, die-hard Sony VAIO fan here tongue.gif Used to own a Sony VAIO VGN-S54GP/S (My first laptop) since December 2004, and just switched to a Sony VAIO VGN-SZ433N/B late August 2007.

Think it's the cursor theme thing that makes your pointer turn into a dinosaur while busy/working...

Ooh la la shocking.gif Wish I could skin my VAIO though, but the logo proves to be a bit tricky... but on second thought sometimes I don't think I want to skin it because leaving it "original" looks more elegant laugh.gif

Oh, yeah. Sometimes VAIO Updates are slow for me too. It takes two DVD-Rs or DVD+Rs for the recovery discs BTW. Very, very helpful if your laptop needs a reformat wink.gif Basically that's the most important thing to do with your VAIO. As for the rest- it's basic care and maintanence.

Happens to me too, especially after switching on the laptop for quite some time (SZ user as well). I fixed my problem by bringing it to the Sony Style centre in The Curve and the guy there installed a driver thing for me sweat.gif No problems after that! *Touch wood*

Wow... very very nice price on the SZ483 you're selling. It's the premium version right? Kind of wished I waited tongue.gif

The VAIO backpack... how did you get it? shocking.gif The only laptop backpack I got when I bought my VAIO was a Sony one... along with the VAIO laptop bag.

Hmm... when I bought my SZ, I asked the salesperson if I could purchase the extended warranty later. He said no, the extended warranty must be purchased when the laptop is purchased blink.gif

As for the TZ series- speed is relative, but looking at the specs it's not... well, very suitable if you're a gamer or a heavy multimedia user sweat.gif Just that for web browsing, email, word processing... standard business stuff, it should be fast enough laugh.gif

Thanks for the camera capture utility update link! The salesman at Sony Style helped me to correct my camera problem when I upgraded my RAM but it didn't really work after a while for some reason. Now it does (So far) and I hope it stays working laugh.gif

Oh, so really need to buy the extended warranty at same time- means after buy already cannot extend warranty?

Anyone has problems registering for the MySony thing on the website? I haven't been able to register for months, and I had an account since years ago, but it seems to have been deleted and/or missing or something sad.gif

I think there's a shop called House of Notebooks in MidValley Megamall that sells VAIO as well. In Low Yat Plaza there's a few shops that sells VAIOs, but they have a Sony sign though. Some of the authorised Sony dealers (Not Sony Style) can bargain wink.gif
