splinter, register yourself at Sony store online... then you can register your lappie there and the warranty can be viewed there as well. I have many Sony gadgets and they have all been registered there... so its pretty cool to view a list of all your gadgets and their warranty period! cool2.gif

Welcome G-Izzat, and nice lappie you have there! biggrin.gif
To add RAM, better you go to any reliable laptop shop and get the 1Gb RAM from there. I paid about 200 bucks IIRC for it... then, they'll be able to open it for you (slowly)!

If for any reason ur lappie got problem, I would remove the RAM before bringin it to sony for warranty purposes

Wah... you guys champion. 80Gb and only 10Gb left? For me, I store all my data on external HDD and keep my lappie clean, with only current useable data and programs. So, my SZ with 120Gb is still approx 90Gb free smile.gif

For other fellow owners of SZ, I found this set of articles very inspiring!! Being an engineer myself, it sure made me a proud owner of such an inspiring engineering project which ultimately yielded what must possibly one of the most uber-cool and chique laptop smile.gif

oh shit!!! i meet my master here?!!!! tongue.gif

I think so far Sony only offer 1 year warranty, and optional upgrade to international 1 year. u can try ask ask those staff of Sony outlet also... hehe

Twin_Sparx.... u orang kaya tongue.gif ... u haven get ur Vista DVD yet???
*
Heh heh heh... where got kaya lah? Makan kaya + roti bakar got lah!! tongue.gif
The main reason I dont want the Vista DVD is I'm overseas at the moment - how to get the DVD la?
Furthermore, I'm happy with XP Pro. The final release (SP2) is so much more stable plus, no conflicts or problems running my softwares. So, if it aint broke, why fix it! whistling.gif I'll probably only convert to Vista 3 years later when my next upgrade is due icon_rolleyes.gif

Working in London at the moment cool2.gif

I tend to have coffee breaks at the nearby starbucks, and noticed not many SZ users around here. Mostly Apples. Oh well... whistling.gif Cant complain - looks so much cooler being not one of the crowd. But then again, the prices of vaios here are quite frightening.

Hi guys,
I was in the sony store last night and spotted a very cool looking micro hifi... CMT-HX5BT.

Does anyone know if I can stream music from my Vaio SZ38GP laptop over to the micro hifi via bluetooth? How do I do this?

Thanks.
