QUOTE(Kain_Sicilian @ Feb 9 2009, 02:48 PM) Just bought my gf a Sony Vaio VGN CS16G (pink) 2 weeks ago. For RM3988 package includes upgrade to 4gb ram, original Sony matching laptop carrying case (pink), keyboard protector and mouse. CS series support 4g ram meh?I thought the max is 2g only. I immediately re-formatted the HDD and install Vista Permium 64bit so as to utilize the 4gb ram. Took me like three hours+ to gather all the drivers for her lappy. I wonder why SOny does not support 64bit officially for all the laptops. Now that I have all the drivers installed, I still can't get the multimedia keys (the play/pause, stop, and volume touch buttons) to work. Any sifus here know what I need to get it to work? Thanks in advance |

QUOTE(Kain_Sicilian @ Feb 10 2009, 09:04 AM) Yes it does, please see here ----> http://www.sony.com.my/product/vgn-cs16g O i c! Why yr GF need such so much ram?For gaming? Under products tab Pre-installed/Max: 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM *3*4 SO-DIMM slots : 2 SO-DIMM slots (The pre-installed memory module uses one) Hence, it should be able to use 2x2GB ram which is currently installed in my gf's Vaio. |

My CS 16G tend to be on the 'Warm'side. I's not very comfy putting on your lap.
