He's a legend? he could be spending alot of time & quests to managed the skill of a legend.. or should i say GP..
But anyway, i also fought along with several MHF Legend in Kai last time..
They're very awesome players.. They help me to beat 15 min Blck Fata in 2 rounds.
Maybe i can ask for their help to beat Red Fata..

finally got my rusted sword after 5th try with 10 rusted stone
my eternal strife will be ready to t monster blood soon ...whahahah

strife not that good compare to dragon sword
although 600+ dragon element, all elemental will be divided by 10
and thats not all, wyverns usually will only take 30-50% of the elemental dmg base on the parts
and the raw dmg also too weak

we take rathalos as example
true black dragon sword VS eternal strife
332 raw 400 dragon vs 112 raw 620 dragon
we take rathalos head as the part, since it is the weakest part
both using a normal 4hits combo
TBDS will deal 74+38 (raw+elem)
EStf will deal 24+52

is there a trick in carving? trying to get sm lao claws from lao village quest. killed 'em like 6-7 times today, all i got were shells and scales....

When u kill Elder LaoS, try carve the head, neck, stomach,
If lucky, u get claw in rewards...

Shin, last night i'v cleared red fata with some hunters..
We do 2 melee & 2 gunner.. perfect team..
Gunners need to shoot Stun lvl2 (Sm Bone Husk + Genprey Fang)
--> Stun the red fata to give melee a chance to slash free..

For Gunner, ammo items needed:-
99 Sm Bone Husk
49 Genprey Fang (Stun lvl2) -spam until no more fang..
50 Wyvern Claw (Clust lvl2) -then shoot clust to the last..

For Melee, they use either Eternal Schism or Ultimus Sky and Earth

A good strategy but just don't get killed..
Maybe we can do it sometime later..

dont you think all the weapons obtainable from rust stones are pretty crap in comparison to ancient stone weapons?

all those exclusive rust stone weapons have lower attack power and sharpness then those of ancient stones.

well i got like 8 ancient stone try lot of time but all i got way crap wep

bah...how can u compare a rusted weapon with an ancient weapon? i can only get ancient stone later in the game...i was just finishing the village quests...

this few days my stremyx connection always dc

Try to get 10 or more ruststone then hav all 5 diff ancient stone..
U need to polish all ruststone until u get rusted weapon while counting how many u hav polished..
example: u hav polish about 8 times then get rusted weapon on the 8th..
So u need to reload the game without save..
Then polish back 7 ruststone, on the 8th - u need to polish ancient stone to get the ancient weapon..

Why many ruststone? The percentage to get rusted weapon is high..
It's time consuming.. if u'r not lucky, u need to keep retry..

The best ancient weapon is the Eternal Schism.. others r so-so

Try do the 'Handle with Care' quest. (deliver 1 Powderstone - volcano)
In rewards, u might get 1 or 2 & sometimes 3 ruststones..
Easy without mining based on luck..
