Once you are informed and allowed to pick up the car from the deal. It's mean it's been cleared from JPJ. You can drive to singapore and thailand as well.

Oh that you mean handling the new car's engine is it? Normally for first 1000km you are advice to use 70% of the engine. Don't go pushing too hard coz the engine is relatively new. Let it run first 1000km then only can push to limits

Alright. thanks. thumbup.gif

blardy hell!! really make my blood boiling. The admin clerk asked me to bank into his personal account so that he can easily withdraw money to clear kastam. How can you withfraw the money where BNM limit is 5k per day. kastam need at least 10 plus k. need to make 2 separate days withdrawal. Ain't this defeat the purpose to clear the kastam today? and somemore bank in to personal account doh.gif

I called the Sales manager to complain already
*
This sound like a scam for me... why should they ask people to bank in money into their personal account?

I drove my BRV around 100km around KL yesterday, and around 200km+- today with 6 person in car.

My driving experience as below;

1st let me share the thing i dislike the most, if someone who wish to buy this car must consider this issue the most. As per other BRV owner comment earlier, Driving a BRV is like sticking your nose outside the car. During my trip today when i drive pass KFC, bike, and durian lorry...i can smell them all like i was standing right in front it. Wondering if Honda will consider fixing this if all BRV owners complain this matter together. or (maybe add 1 cabin filter ourself might help)

Road noise can be clearly hear inside car when speed above 90km/h.

Other than matter above, my overall driving experience is good! fuel consumption is 13.5km/l (reading in car display). With 6person in the car, the power, gear response, handling & space is good.

This issue seems to be quite consistent with everyone I think.honda should do something bout it man.
Does it only happen during idle or even on d move?
*
Yes...i think Honda should take this seriously. But i think it need more customer to complain together. As long there is smell outside you can smell it for sure no matter your car idle or driving.

QUOTE(KWJit @ Jan 27 2017, 04:33 PM)
Yea road noise is very loud. Will it bcuz of the tyres ?
*
I'm not good at this...maybe tyre or insulation?

QUOTE(PotatoChipSnack @ Jan 27 2017, 04:59 PM)
Must group feedback to Honda on the air intake smell, my passenger keep complaining to me... for sound insulation, suppose I read some article Malaysia BRV should be better sound insulation compare to neighbor country?
Overall is fun drive just like drivinf a sedan car... just if compared to Toyota Avanza, Avanza can absorbed more road impact and less noise from outside...
*
Yeap. i think a group feedback will make some impact...If our is better sound insulation is better than Indonesia & India i cant imagine how terrible is loud is their version... For our version, it seem like no sound insulation at all.

Best we all complain back to our SA together. Should there be no action in the coming months, we can escalate it to Honda Malaysia directly.
*
I will definitely comment to SA..but i'm sure SA wont feedback or showroom wont do anything. unless there is alot of owners complain together.

Just an update I've learnt from the BR-V Malaysia's Owner Group FB... the apparent fumes that comes into the cabin attributes to the intake flap that switches between air circulation and bringing in fresh air... the lever or the cable is not adjusted properly to control the flap to cover completely...

I'll properly reconfirm this when I send my car in this weekend for the 1st service.
*
Went to SC for 1k service during weekend.. Solution that Honda service center gave me is permanently seal the air intake...but in future i wont be able to get air flow in from outside.

Solution they gave me is like: If you get a house with toilet leaking..solution is seal the toilet and cant use the toilet forever... vmad.gif vmad.gif Try to tahan the service guy awhile before i go rage.

Now i'm waiting for more answer and solution from other BRV owner, then complain again.

Which SC branch did you go to last weekend with that half-baked solution? I'm going back to HZN Cars, Glenmarie first since that's where I've purchased and been sending my previous ride there over the years.
*

Guys, want to check with you all. When at stop, if you accelerate bit harder and don't touch the steering, it steers to the right a little bit. I noticed it for sometime already and notice this review also same. Is it common? Or just an alignment issue?
