there's a rumour that tmnet will soon implement charging according to Gbytes transfers per-months. and the mysterious Gbytes usage in our monthly bills somehow feels like validating it.

QUOTE(Kernkraft400 @ Feb 12 2007, 05:42 PM) No matter if we turn on our service for 24/7 per day per week. We should be paying the amount we should be paying right? Its UNLIMITED for god's sake. HOW DO YOU TRUST THOSE FREAKING TMNUTS?! Btw, for Jan and Feb iam using 9.08gig upload/download. It was in the physical bill. Can anyone confirm their usage pls. I believe it is in the physical bill on the right side. Unlimited, that's what it says, we hope that's what it really is, but we don't know for sure. About the billing, it's not surprising that your bill may be sent over to KL when you live in Sarawak or vice versa. If they're charging extra for the unlimited pack they gotta be sued. |

(either BT, emule, kazaa, etc.) and by WE, i mean those on 60.* IPs. well, i got a chance to speak with their technical staff and he said that tmnet might wanna come up with some new value-added services, whereby IF the user wanna get connected to international peers on p2p software, they have to subscribe to that particular value-added services. this is what the staff told me on OCT 2006. it might be true or it might be bogus. i'll just wait until they start charging me extra, then imakickyoasstmnet! |

QUOTE(Kernkraft400 @ Feb 12 2007, 05:10 PM) Uh ... welcome to the club? I'd say 95% of the LYN ppl feel the same way ... but guess what most of us can't do a damn thing about it Personally I don't ask for much ... I mean, Korea and Japan are measuring their internet in triple-digit mbps now, and we're still stuck at 1 mbps, but to me that's ok ... what's NOT ok is the terribly inconsistent latency I get when playing online games with people outside m'sia/s'pore ... ... but ya ... again I have no other option where I live so it's streamyx or 56k dialup ... Oh and for those of you who've studied/lived in Australia ... the internet plans over there are all pretty much usage-based, no? I remember my aussie friends complaining that "oh no I've almost used up my quota, can't download anymore" all the time. |

I called up Tmnet Constumer Service and asked about the data usage, and she said that it was only to inform on what rate your upload/download is.
She even stated that we dont need to pay extra fees for that. (For now i guess) |
