by "valentine" you mean the girl in your pic or the big, red, badass sinanju? tongue.gif

The gold looks pretty ok, kinda expected them to have a rough, grainy surface. The edges of the forearm armour (2nd pic) seems a bit scratched, might need some touchup over there... Rifle looks absolutely sweet, even with the ancient ZakuII holding it.

@Chriswoo : I like it. Bulky but slim at the same time, LOL!. 2 thing stands out for me. The shield and the gun barrel. Perhaps you need to re-colour it to follow the rest of the colour scheme. Looks really odd now.

err... no offense chris but it looks rather odd and top heavy imho, like a girl who has her boobs enlarged. Not sure if it was the look nyou were gunning for, but the transformer bumblebee look to me is a no no.

Chris:

Agree with dukebeard regarding the colour scheme of the gunbarrel and shield. Maybe colour the barrel white and put some orange logo/decals onto the shield.

Somehow your Thor looks a bit too similar to the MKII from behind. Add some bulk to the MKII's backpack, possibly more thrusters on the sides or a generator with a cable connecting to the bigass hyper launcher...

At the moment it seems just like a typical gundam with a shield and rifle, kinda digressed from the original heavy assault concept isn't it? Where did the missile pack from the G-Defensor go? tongue.gif Slap it on quick hehe....

@chris,

first off, you are waaay ahead of me (still working on my first MG sweat.gif ) so i'll thread with caution...

1) Your WIPs are always fascinating, the amount of thought you put into modding the parts are zero g like laugh.gif
2) However, when you put everything together i normally go eh? The sum of the parts unfortunately seem lesser than the individual parts themselves... something just doesn't jive hmm.gif For me this seems to be the case with all your projects wor...
3) Not sure why, but isit because you overdo things? Every part modded, hence there is no focus? Too complicated? Cannot be your colours cause you have improved on that already.

maybe some of the more experienced guys have better opinions though. notworthy.gif

well not quite sure how to explain that because for me everything i learn until now is self learn or trial and error which is I think is each challenge allow me to improve more to my style build (example coloring). well i think this problem will be face by every modeler.

1. the color scheme no so nice but still better than last time... for me i prefer green color like battle field punya color...

2. like madmoz said, put everything together look just weird... suggestion for u, try to less mod... i think la, u mod everything and then when put together it become weird... try do sketching 1st like those hardcore modeller do...

just my 2 cents...

i just want to comment one thing...

there is no such thing as trial and error and this style can be avoided

you can always start with planning first before do anything
like henry said...try to draw/sketch on paper first what in your mind..doesnt mean have to be da vinci then only you can do the drawing mah(later you come diu me said like "me newbie in photography not geng like you" again doh.gif). early planning in everything for your kit to look nice and success in the end. and doesnt mean you noob or newbie and your only excuse is to be "trial and error" doh.gif

and for god sake...how many kits already you done and still dare called yourself a newbie doh.gif

To chris.

Many parts are broken when i try to strip the armor for painting the inner frame:P ( I should paint the inner frame first before put the red armor doh.gif ). I got no choice accept to cement all parts together... sweat.gif

BTW, ur MKII is awsome man thumbup.gif

well thx for the suggestion i think this is the 1st time that you comment on my kits but I did have sketching and design reference b4 i started the kits as now the kits hasn't yet done while i still have superback pack yet to install so it look alittle bit weird.

Actualy VincC454 i think you misunderstood that my meaning of trial and error.. Mine trial and error is refer to some new method of modding (technique of cutting and sanding) instead of step preparation (sketching and etc) and beside the kit still under WIP which haven't finish yet but still i appreciate your advice. as not often VincC454 comment people kits. notworthy.gif

btw i do believe in trial and error as knowledge it self is not enough as technique need a lot of practice to achieve it.
