Anyone facing display issue with Lenovo P2? It seems that display quadrant towards bottom right corner is brighter? It kind of give a gradient effect on the screen instead of a similar brightness across the whole screen. This can be checked by watching a page with dark grey (not black) background at lower brightness.
Care to share the so called "dark grey background" pix/sample...?
At the moment my unit's S-AMOLED display is at par with my current Note5 in terms of colour, contrast and brightness.
I'm just browsing through xda labs app with dark theme... It looks like the attached picture, not sure if you can see... Below the green line, it's a little bit brighter fur the background... Doesn't happen to my old phone... Just wanted to confirm whether I'm having a defective unit
OK... if you are talking of "shades" of light (not bleeding yaaa...) when in a pitch dark room, my Sammy Note 5 has this "effect" as well. It is kind of "screen burn" but not permanent. It's the nature of all AMOLED panels. However, my P2 "temporary burn" is not as prominent as my Note 5. Maybe the unit is still new. Over time, it will be having the same "temporary burn" effect.
Maybe this would help...?
Thank you for your clarification on this "effect"... First time having a phone with AMOLED display javascript:emoticon('')
I normally like buying phone with grey color and black front... But gold colored P2 looks amazing to me, unlike Xiaomi... So bought gold instead, preferred it to grey colored P2
Having the address bar and menus at the bottom of the screen is suitable for one hand use for big screen phablets...Plus, powerful ad blocking mechanism from "AdGuard Content.Blocker" is like getting climax constantly and eternity...LOL...
I'm using Yandex browser as well... Couple with the "Simple Night Mode" extension, saves a lot of battery while browsing... 😃
Xiaomi normally have good update only for their flagship devices... Redmi series not so much... Should be worse then lenovo based on previous redmi series update... They only update MIUI version but not android version... Plus the MIUI is a heavy skin on top of android... Use AOSP instead MIUI on the same phone and you can feel your phone breathe a new life javascript:emoticon(':D') My previous experience from 2.5 years using my Mi3
