How is the build quality for lenovo phone?  Eyeing this model to replace my mi3
*
Out of the box... SOLID but slippery... stock casing is decent to maintain it's beauty and at the same time cure the slippery "decease"... LeMoto has brought back the oldie LeMoto P780 which I had been using for 2 years as primary driver... This P2 is the re-incarnation of P780... whoever owns P780 previously, you'll love P2 even more....

You may need to wait until next week to test-drive at local stores below:
LeMoto Retail Stores to test drive P2

Alright... very good news...

I'm using the Xiaomi Slim Powerbank 10,000mAh Pro below with Xiaomi stock cable:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Device out of the box was at 5%. The Mi-Bank Pro charged P2 from 5% to 100% in 2 hours and 45 minutes (for 5,100 mAh battery). This is compatible with Qualcomm Quick-Charge 2.0 rate. In comparison, the same powerbank charges Redmi Note 3 Pro (4,000 mAh) from 5% to 100% in 2 hour 30 minutes. So, both LeMoto P2 and Redmi Note 3 supports Qualcomm Quick-Charge 2.0 out of the box. Major win!

Anyone wanna buy my Xiaomi Slim Powerbank 10,000 mAh Pro...? PM if interested... I don't need this powerbank anymore as P2 is my powerbank right now....LOL...

Better wait for 12.12 sales from Laz or Gem5 (if you prefer 100% credit card payment). I just go for 12-month installment plan...

As of now, international variant (ie Rest of the World = ROW) does NOT supports VoLTE out-of-the-box.... pity to those YES and DiGi telco users...
Source

VoLTE is supported for YES telco!

Will try to do comparison between last year's flagship, the Sammy Note5, and the current Best Budget Phone of the Year 2016, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 later.

Nice thumbup.gif

How's the build quality? Feels premium? Any part that makes it feel cheap?

The UI is like stock Android or Lenovo heavily customised it?
*
Build quality is solid & premium too. Maybe due to the fact that its thickness and weight ratio that makes it feels "premium".

The UI is the brand new "One UI" is 95% stock AOSP. LeMoto listened to users feedback (thus ditched Vibe UI) plus it will be easier for their developers to upgrade to Nougat later. How I wish the UI background to be black like in OnePlus coz AMOLED loves black / dark theme.

Bloatware still presents but can be disabled.

A few questions for people who bought this phone:
1. is the fingerprint scanner capacitive or a pressable button?
2.fingerprint scanner reliable/ fast?
*
1. It's both actually. The most convenient FP scanner design:
Unlock when device offscreen/sleep = Just tap FP.
Recent/background apps navigation = LONG tap FP.
Home navigation = PRESS the FP.
Back navigation = Single tap FP.

You may also enable on-screen navigation bar. There is no recent app and back capacitive buttons on either sides of FP scanner, which IMHO not necessary in today's standard.

2. FP is 100% reliable and fast. I don't think you are allowed to test FP performance in the retail store, unless with permission from Sales Executive.

*
It's active FP. Just tap. No need to press like Sammy or Meizu...

Dang... seing the pics made me wanna go out and buy it now. Anyway, that black thing, where they put the sim ejector, kind of look like a battery - for a moment there I was disillusioned thinking that it has a removable battery (would've made it even better than it is)...

come on, take some sample pictures from the camera itself and show us.
*
P2 is not marketed as Multimedia (though the DAC can output "up to" 24-bit audio...quite impressive...VR...? just meh...) nor Camera-centric device... expect bad camera performance from the "legacy" Sony IMX258 sensor...

bolded part... in 75 minutes it charges 65% (73-8). 65% of 5100mAh is 3315mAh already.
*
Trickle charge is activated once reach 80%... So, 65% is still "Rapid" Charge status... hence, bigger battery is better because within 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes), P2 already has 3315mAh battery capacity...

So, say, early in the morning take shower and prep for 1 hour, the device has about 50% battery (ie 5100mAh / 2 = 2550mAh capacity ready for whole day....

For the launching price, it is "reasonable" comparing to ZenFone 3, Huawei Nova Plus and other Snap625~4GB~32GB groups.... P2 has it's own potential and capabilities...
