Where is my stars?

No matter how modern is the hard disk. Make sure it is 7200rpm. Since none of them makes 10000rpm or higher for consumers these days.
Manufacturers putting 5400-5900rpm now. WD Blue 2TB onwards is 5400rpm, Seagate Barracuda Compute 4TB is 5400rpm. Slower rpm means higher access time and slower sequential file copy.
