I'm experiencing the same thing! Just got my iphone 7 plus, and updating the phone is a nightmare. My internet speed is fine, i can play all the video and checked the speed. However, when i update the phone and download the apps from appstore, it is extremely slow. Any other people experience this? Got any idea why does this happen?

If you doubting whether is it a ios/iphone WiFi issue, you could hotspot via wifi to another device.
