intending to change my wife's myvi tires soon. been researching which is the most 'value for money' tires and CC6 is always pops up.
However, I dont have that full confidence in Continental tires due to 2 reasons;
1. my ex boss told me his car (old waja) skidded and knocked another car during a wet road condition after just few months using contiental cc1, after that, he ban continental tires forever.
2. i just had an over-steer yesterday (car spun 360 degrees) in a wet roundabout (back tires CC5, 95% thread, mfg yr 2013 and front tires Dunlop J5 98% thread mfg yr 2016) while driving at speeds around 40kmh. (in an old corolla without VSC) blame the road got oil spill or is it tire problem?
Any comments on the wet grip for cc6? over-steering or skidding cases?

QUOTE(amad108 @ May 25 2017, 04:35 PM) use fallken sincera 832i good enough already.. just for wife right? last time i buy for my sister in law around rm115/pc for size 195/55/15 at Bukit Kemuning area.. i drive my wife's car everyday. we carpool to work and my wife's driving style isnt slow either. so a safe, comfortable tyre is quite important. haha. currently the stock silverstone powerblitz although noisy due to low thread, has still reasonable grip compared similar thread level goodyear tires. does not skid or wheelspin easily.

QUOTE(amad108 @ May 26 2017, 09:30 AM) If like that, please use Michelin Pilot Sport 3 or 4.. hehe.. ur life depend on it especially when speeding.. the braking distance shorten and the grip is marvelous, in raining i can say very good.. dry no need to say, maybe on par with RE003 or a bit lower.. I have used PS3 before in my dad's old waja. It was a superb tire even until its minimum thread. Unfortunately, PS3 dont have size for stock myvi rims. Now no budget to change rims

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ May 28 2017, 08:27 AM) Someone asked for review before. Just changed a day ago. AR10 before this. First comfort and silence tip top, AR10 no fight. But cornering bridgestone sidewall tougher, this u can feel slightly less confidence but if u r those typical average drivers should be ok. Unless u sapu corner at 80 90km/h at tight corners only will be an issue. Also i actually like this wet handling more. AR10 actually keeps splashing water to the car itself , at big puddle sometimes the splash to the car actually shakes the car a lot. Grip of coz more la tyre baru produced last week thanks for the feedback. now i have slightly more confidence in cc6

guys, i got quoted MYR 210/pc at an authorized Continental dealer for CC6 175/65/14 for stock myvi rims. After i hear the price i was awestruck and halted my decision to change tires. The dealer claimed price increase 3 times already, they claimed the price was never lower than 190 since introduction. wth they say if want cheaper buy back silverstone at 170/pc or Viking at 160/pc I got quoted RM170/pc for ecopia EP200 at a bridgestone dealer. i will get quote for the CC6 from another few shops around town. fyi, my location is in kuching, sarawak.
