Anyone used the new Continental CC6 tyre?

Can share their experience using this tyre?

Interesting pattern, and marketed as very quiet tyre.

My wife has been using it for about 1-2 months now on her Myvi. Previously was original tyres from Perodua, her comment is that it's a lot quieter than the previous tyre. Not so bumpy also.

Was wondering just how effective are those "Helmholtz Resonator".

Also, a bit phobia on Conti tyres after I suffered countless puncture when using Conti..

Just wanna share,

Changed to this tire today, driving peugeot 2008 mini SUV.

Now sure if it was over priced, bought it at "kedai papan" hin leong klang. Mine was 205/ 55/16V RM 290 a piece including GST.

Initial review so far:

Noise: DAMN QUIET (Now I can hear my aircond noise)
Grip: Moderate, but since my driving style these days are kinda slow and steady, I can say it is good enough.
Comfort: THIS TIRE EATS BUMPS, matched with soft suspension of my peugeot 2008, I can hardly feel bumps now.

I moved from standard tire Goodyear Efficient Grip 195/60/16 to this tire, so far I am satisfied with the new conti tire. thumbsup.gif (This is its first change)

Hhmm... sounds interesting. But Efficient Grip is quite noisy, so the difference will be obvious.

Already expected normal level of grip from this budget tyre.

Suprise on the bump. Perhaps the tyre has very soft sidewalls, hence easily flexed over bumps. I am a bit cautious on this, if the softness is not just the sidewall but applies to the whole tyre, this might leads to frequent puncture. ohmy.gif

Thanks for the precious feedback!!

Yeah, the goodyear efficient grip tends to become harder and noisier as it gets older, kinda expensive too.

Ive only used Continental Sport Contact on my Neo CPS and this CC6 so far, Compared to the other brands like Goodyear Efficient Grip, Achilles ATR Sport, GT Radial Champiro BAX2, I can say Continentals are a bit on the softer side.

On the other note, it might not be a good idea to buy soft tires if you are living in areas that have lots of contruction sites, or poor road conditions (like, REALLY BAD ROADS WITH ENDLESS POTHOLES), and etc.

But if you are living in areas with less constructions, frequent freeways like LDP, KESAS, roads that are well cared and maintained, it is PERFECT. That said, THERE ARE LOTS OF CONSTRUCTIONS going on in Klang Valley areas laugh.gif

I guess I have to be more careful when I drive nearby construction sites, bad roads or near lorries sad.gif

Jazz suspensions are quite comfortable, much more comfortable than city IMHO. Plus the cabin noise is also low, paired with this tire then I can imagine there wont be much road noise anymore. thumbsup.gif
