Can share their experience using this tyre?
Interesting pattern, and marketed as very quiet tyre.

Was wondering just how effective are those "Helmholtz Resonator".
Also, a bit phobia on Conti tyres after I suffered countless puncture when using Conti.. |

QUOTE(NUR_VER.3 @ Nov 21 2016, 06:02 PM) Just wanna share, Hhmm... sounds interesting. But Efficient Grip is quite noisy, so the difference will be obvious. Changed to this tire today, driving peugeot 2008 mini SUV. Now sure if it was over priced, bought it at "kedai papan" hin leong klang. Mine was 205/ 55/16V RM 290 a piece including GST. Initial review so far: Noise: DAMN QUIET (Now I can hear my aircond noise) Grip: Moderate, but since my driving style these days are kinda slow and steady, I can say it is good enough. Comfort: THIS TIRE EATS BUMPS, matched with soft suspension of my peugeot 2008, I can hardly feel bumps now. I moved from standard tire Goodyear Efficient Grip 195/60/16 to this tire, so far I am satisfied with the new conti tire. Already expected normal level of grip from this budget tyre. Suprise on the bump. Perhaps the tyre has very soft sidewalls, hence easily flexed over bumps. I am a bit cautious on this, if the softness is not just the sidewall but applies to the whole tyre, this might leads to frequent puncture. Thanks for the precious feedback!! |

QUOTE(graxith @ Jun 3 2017, 02:31 PM) Just had my 4 tyres changed to CC6 this morning (RM171/pc, excluding GST). And, I think I am having extremely bad luck as 1min after I drove off from workshop, I heard strange knocking/flapping sound from the rear wheel. I stopped at the next petrol station to inspect and to my shock, a bolt is stuck in my tyre! I had too many punctures with Conti CC series. So now, no more Conti CC for me!!I drove back to the workshop and the boss is kind enough to fix the hole FOC, appreciate for that. And he said this is the first time his customer left workshop and come back in few minutes with a punctured tyre. Have been reading this forum regarding CC5 having softer rubber compound and prone to puncture, I hope CC6 is not facing the similar fate. Just hope this is just my bad luck. Just imagine, 4 tyres, 6 punctures!!! When I use Bridgestone or Micheline, I only average 2 or less puncture for the lifetime of 4 tyres. |

QUOTE(onetree710 @ Jul 26 2017, 07:24 PM) Well it has nothing to do with pattern or size, but maybe models. So far my experience with Conti CC series is riddled with puncture. Maybe other Conti series are better, but I don't know. But I am staying the hell away from Conti ComfortContact series like plague!!!Now using Michelin XM2 for almost 1 year, no puncture at all. QUOTE(LemonKnight @ Jul 26 2017, 07:29 PM) If you've been following this thread or the Dunlop J5 thread, there were a few people who mentioned they got more tyre punctures with these tyres. I guess it's probably due to the pretty soft sidewall. I think it's the general structure or compound used. Not really on sidewall, cause most of the puncture I experienced is being penetrated on the tread. Soft sidewall should only affect the ride quality, not the puncture resistance. |
