its primary role is to take on mechanized infantry consisting of ifv/afv/apc not mbt
in the first place its a flawed idea to use the last century era rpg to oppose modern mbt
though to even manage disabling a tank is already a huge firepower for a mere infantry

and the tax payers have to pay RM 1.323 billions to refit the 2 submarines  ohmy.gif
*
8-year periodic of major overhaul & refit nothing wrong with that also operating a sub is not a cheap matter
sooner or later every vessel must undergone such process even the dcns promo video explicitly states this

No, it is not enough. Msia must have better disclosure than that. Do you think the US for example considers it a major intelligence weakness that the general status of its carriers is easily available on the Internet? No, it is simply being accountable to the public.
http://www.gonavy.jp/CVLocation.html
*
aircraft carrier movement is a show of force while submarine movement is a deterrent force
deswai you can get the carrier movement info on the internet but not on the submarine movement

its discrete for a reason also multiple foreign armed naval forces ady comes to our shore to train with our submarine force
that shows the confidence on international level that they got for our submarine capability and training

also recently the mv mega bakti rescue vessel which is part of our submarine force got certification for us naval submarine rescue ops
which means the vessel is certified and capable for rescue ops on any usn submarine in the region which only sgpore and msia got the cert

Nice pic, thanks.
I was aware it was no longer in use since both Scorpenes are now operational. I think the issue has come up here before. But I was making a general point.

The Army's newly acquired Ajax IFVs are also accused of being a bungled purchase, with it revealed that the armored vehicles cannot fit into the RAF's A400M transport aircraft as they are and its side armor needs to be dismantled in order for the vehicles to fit the transports.
*
it can fit alright but the armor kits and all the stuff that arent bolted on must be detached and carried on a different plane.. thats the problem

It was true that Lim Guan Eng boarded the submarine KD Tun Razak, no doubt about that. my earlier question was on KD Tunku Abdul Rahman.

QUOTE(KLboy92 @ Feb 7 2017, 03:44 PM)
Dont politicise everything. Asking for better accountability is not related to politics. JANGAN PERSOAL is a very irresponsible way of running things.

Foreign intel have better ways of getting information. This is not even highly sensitive materials. Other more advanced more combat-experienced armed forces have no trouble publishing it. And it is not time sensitive operational data, it is financial data very relevant to the taxpaying rakyat. Why do we have such big hangups with TOP SECRETZ INFORMASI...?

....unless of course the data demonstrates that Mindef has not been spending money wisely.... whistling.gif
*
not sure why everyone hear like dunno there is a national auditing board thats audits the management and expenditure of every existing gomen branch and published their findings in their annual report

yes they even also audit the accountability of the security forces like atm and pulis and their annual publication is a very interesting read though they have only summarize version of it cuz its like a big bible ady
