How to stop windows from installing update?

Hi there what are u having probably a update malfunction here some step to fix it.
Shutdown windows update services u can follow the step donatelo mention It shuts down Windows Update Services. - Renames the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.old - restarts the Windows Update Services.
