Hi,

I've been a Maxis user for maybe 10-12 years until I ported to Celcom and then now with Umobile...

I've been away from Maxis since 4 years ago. My main problem back then was so many surprise charges
whenever I got my monthly bill. There were always unexplained charges here and there. So after being
faithful for a decade, I decided to try others...

I'm quite happy with Umobile because the billing is very clear and there have never been any surprise charges.

However, there is always coverage issue.... so I'm thinking of moving back to Maxis since telcos WW2 now
driving their price down also...

any advise sifus?

Even with the price down and all, Maxis plan is still higher compare to the other telco.

Ive been with Maxis since day one handphone was born. Although it more expensive than other telcos, its well worth it. Last 3 months i purposely tried several telcos, honestly i find that Maxis is wayyyyy better.

not because of this.
my personal point of view, maxis coverage in term of call and data, still better than most of telco.
their mobile data speed is more stable.
that is why i keep on stay with Maxis and hope they will catch up what is other telco is offering.
since small company can offer such package, why not maxis...
as today, i seeing they are doin good by double up the data even though they a bit slow in offering.

Well others telco are improving too..
I do agree some are not stable & even sucks in speed (umobile & webe), celcom in some places..
Hotlink did good job, but maxis (postpaid) on others hand is abit slow..

Maxis are miles better in term of speed and coverage as compared to others.

Umobile - Very fast but spotty.
Celcom - Very wide but slow like shite.
Digi - Spotty and shit speed.

* Currently using both Celcom and DIGI

Yup... The argument is that its only Rm28 difference to Celcom Gold and Rm38 difference to UMobile P70. Some might argue that Rm30-Rm40 is just the costs of one meal and they can live with that.

well, i think maxis do aware other telco is improving their coverage, stability and speed.
that why, this round Maxis is very fast come out with new plan as compare to last round where maxis drag quite long.
previously, thousand of users port out before they will start to do something.

Wish something 'bad' (fierce competition or etc) would happen to tm, so that they'll reduce the price of fibre broadband. And Astro too. These 2 don't have fierce competition.

It's obvious. Their services are getting more expensive as time goes on. While it is the exact opposite happening to telco.

TM still OK but their line seems to be the stable among all! Another thing is ASTRO. Their content is so rich (especially sports channel) and nobody can't beat them. EPL is damn expensive now and for my opinion is quite reasonable for ASTRO to charge its subscribers some amount of money! ASTRO most expensive channels come from Chinese & Sports package. Chinese channel they signed agreement with TVB while Sports Channel mainly with Premier League.
