I thought the back lane doesnt need to be 20" per se.

The distance between 2 house (wall to wall) must be 20", hence if the back lane is 15, and there is 2.5/5" in each compound, then its good enough?

Cause some houses are back to back sharing the same fence, hence they cannot renovate/extend the building closer then 10" form the fence... hence 2x10"

I think if back of the units have no setback from boundary line, then the backlane should be 20 ft. If there's a setback of minimum 2.5 ft on each side, then yes backlane can be 15 ft as in 7.2. Then again, this directive by the Ministry came into force on 31 Dec 2014 only. Pretty sure Cradleton's building plans were submitted and approved well before that, so maybe that's why they were allowed to have 15 ft backlane without any building setback

Some strong words there in this forum I like it and it's factual but I think there's another category of buyer who still hope that the final would be different. I WAS one of it until it's obviously blunt that that's not going to happen. The house itself still look nice for me but the landscaping is no where near premium at all. Just need to look at EM's neighboring developer Diamond City to see how beautiful it's their landscape. Not to mention they didn't need time to grow their trees but that was never my issue. It's the density of the landscape and the overall feel.

And another major disappointment is the Eco Lorong as you said, it's unethical. No point in having the world best services attitude if the basic promise can't be fulfilled. To me it can be called cheating, whether the promise was on paper or not. I have seen enough buyers being promised verbally.

Never visited Diamond City myself but from pictures and videos, the landscaping works look very impressive. Country Garden go all out with their landscaping. Probably have a big budget to do so. Lanscaping work even at their resort in Forest City in Johor looks good too. Malaysian developers, not only EW, should follow their footsteps if they really wanna promote and market their "garden"/"park"/"green" concepts

Man...such a fiery thread. Lol

Anyway i'm in the opinion that the importance should be put on the quality of the house units itself. Backlane or landscape are secondary issues. Sure, some purchasers will be very disappointed that what was marketed didn't materialize but don't think it should be the main concerns.

Anyway, opinion only. No need to shoot with shotgun tongue.gif

No i'm not. Merely stating an opinion

I guess so.
I believe no buyer (except EW staff) will happy with EW landscaping, which is their MAIN selling point. Also the reason I paid for extra premium for relocation at semenyih.

Ecoworld class = Class for ecoworld.

Was it their main selling point? hmm.gif
