you are correct on needing wide spread light on night mountain trail due to lack of "street lamps" inside jungle/mountains. nice light and batt pack mod, btw, only use reputed and high discharge 18650, me and few friends Blow up several cheap batts (my friends into vaping mods) i think with that 4x t6 cree, it draws a lot of power
all: sadly those mtb spotlight also at the same time not road legal(luckily malaysia dont enforce this) a proper road light MUST HAVE light CUT OFF line. that why all the branded one are expensive because to be legalized in some country like German, France.

for joy riding at night, seriously ride only on well lit area, incase of anything bad happens, people "sees" you. and u get help faster.

Its true that we must not use cheap battery as they are a real fire hazards. Those panasonic batteries I use are tested good and very reliable.

alamak, cant understand ChineseĀ  blink.gif

how many lumens? price around rm60??
*
Price around Rm45(light only without battery) excluding postage
Light with 1 battery and charger = Rm60 excluding postage

Cree XML-U2
500-1000 lumens (it is indeed very bright. Can be use as stand alone light but I use it as secondary helmet light.)
Use 18650 battery can last up to 10 hrs. My experience with this light seems to validate their claims as I never ran out of juice under high mode. It seems like it can go on forever LOL.

I am sure there are better helmet lights out there, but this one work quite well for me. I like it because the battery is replaceable and there is no cable to mess with.

You should do bulk order hehehe
Question, let say(eg) one can ride with 26t chain ring and 36t chainring (or 44t) with cassette cog that result with same gearing ratio, would riding at smaller or larger chainring is more comfortable?

I ride mostly on road (some light uphill and some hard uphill), plan to upgrade but not sure to get double chainring or single chainring setup. Need advise from experience user.

(Not sure if relevant, I can do 27-30kmh on my 14kg 29x2.1 bicycle)
*
I can help order if anyone interested. RM50 for light and mount. Plus RM20 for charger + 1x 18650 battery.
The above price does not include postage to West Malaysia whcih should be Rm10-15.

If you are riding mostly on road or XC, 2x10 is just fine. Infact its better as you can have more speed.
If you are riding trail or all mountain, then 1x10 or 1x11 would be the way to go.

For those with double chainring and would like to go to single chainring, you don't have to buy complete groupset. You can actually convert your existing component to single chainring system by simply replacing your chainring and cassette as below:

30T/32T/34T chainring

Sunrace cassette

A long screw

and a goatlink devices if your derailuer is short cage to extend the length.

and 4 chainring screws with 5mm spacers to shift the chainring to the centre.

Buying a whole 1x11 groupset will set you back RM1500 to RM2500 depending on model, but a simple conversion like this will cost you less than RM400 and work just as good.

good info bro, i like elaborate explainations. so dont need to asks few times. i was thinking this conversion too. but then again, since now doing much onroad so save a lil bit budget now hahaha.
btw, the goatlink thingy is a first for me. thanks!
*
I bought the goatlink but did not use it because my SLX is long cage so its not needed. So its needed if your derailuer is short type.

But the long screw is important.

what 8s the generic name for this "long screw"?
i tried googling and not much results are in..
*
Er...its just a screw that is longer than the ori screw on the derailleur. It came with the goatlink I bought. Without it, you might have difficulty getting the derailleur to shift to the largest 42 cog.

Get this Seasucker clone. For me it should perform the same as it uses the same vacuum cup just like the seasucker.
