In my humble opinion, though it may be different from many here,
I would go for the Scott. Yes, true the 3 red marked in the chart is where the Polygon gave better components but not that much of a difference. The fork wise, both are forks that you are going to change in the near future if you stay on the game. Yes, Rockshox may be a better fork in this case, it is also the lowest end of their range. As for brakes wise, both are also , what we call the non series brakes apart from the Deore, SLX, XT or XTR. Maybe you can bargain with the LBS for at least a Deore. The brakes on the Polygon is a level higher but performance wise , both are similar. Finally the rear derailleur, Polygon shodded it with XT and this is where most bikes put their best because many newbies look at this part first. This is also one of the cheapest upgrade and first upgrade many mountain bikers do. Change the RD to XT, maybe spend another RM270 nowadays and then offset it with selling off the original. It cost just a mere RM100 extra.
This is where the Polygon can't keep up. The frame. The Scott 770 is an evolvement from Nino Schurter's factory carbon bike geometry. Although made with aluminum, the maintained the same geometry of the proven bike. So, the frame is proven. Don't under estimate the geometry of a frame, it make a whole world of difference. Also frame is one point you don't want to make a mistake on. Once this is confirmed , everything else can be changed. The wheelset of both bikes are nothing to shout about though. Even a RM680 Mavic Crossride can upstage them. As for stems, seat post Syncros is a better component.
Still this is just my opinion, the choice is still yours.

geometri win all, polygon just a trash bike ok
during my 1st time into mtb, same scenario happened, couple years ago these two models offers very different price tag
end up i go for polygon because budget and overall spec, as long my body can accept the geometry, its fine.
just my opinion though. maybe after mastered all my local trail, time for upgrade then

side by side comparison between generic two led light claimed rating 3000 or 5000 lumen (there are two versions, 3000 n 5000 lumen similar body design, on bbs) vs magicshine mj-890 claimed rating 160 lumen.

actual was brighter, but phone camera facepalm. left generic, right magicshine.
picture taken about 1hr 15min into the ride. at the start of the ride, the generic light was brighter and had farther throw. brighter spot beam pattern with decent flood. then it got dimmer. the magicshine remained consistent. not bright enough for trail riding though. generic light bluish, magicshine yellowish. after 1hr 30min, the magicshine battery capacity remained between 30-60%, at 100% brightness setting.
Still waiting my headlight from poslaju....
mine, hope can tahan until 2-3hrs
