U count it wrong, if gross fare 1,200, net would be RM960, plus net incentive RM1,040. They only subsidize u RM800 (1,040 - 240)
No bro, I meant net incentive is 1.3k, not gross. Yes, they only subsidize the net incentive -20% of what I collected, but they are still bleeding money. If 1000 drivers around, they still need.to come out with RM1m a week. What i was counting is just a brief picture of it. There were times where my nett incentive was 1.5k. Luckily not all drivers are like me. I have championed this game, to me this is more like play. Grab charges customers rm1.10/km. My KPI is RM2/km and that includes the return trip to home. And i never missed my incentive for the last 9 months except 2 weeks ago where they screwed the AR calculation, luckily i only did 7 hours max.
They cannot sustain for long. Thats why keep on slashing incentive. This incentives are not going to last long. Grab em while u can.
Eventually, grab will be just another taxi company, fares are going to be high all the time, and they won't have to pay incentives anymore. In Singapore grab price is same as taxi price, sometimes can be more. Thailand also same.
Im sure u are aware that these day high demand prices are very common. RM4 becomes RM8. Give promo but high price. In this situation, riders are paying our incentives, not grab. As they keep on putting high demand price, riders will get use to it. Its marketing and all grab want to be is to be different than taxi. Better cars, 5* drivers.
