here's my score from my old machine.

I have it enough with the sound distortion in Winamp every time I did quick scrolling in Firefox, so I replaced my old GeForce 8500GT in it. A much improved score and the distortion goes away too. The ATI 3200 still have immature drivers it seems.

It's not meant for you to compare whose PC is better, but more like a benchmark if your system have the requirements to install applications that have certain min requirements in order to run and to perform optimally. Therefore, the marks that you obtained doesn't fully project how powerful your system is. Just a figure for you to take note of when buying softwares.

For comparison, you can always use PC benchmarking software to have a direct comparison on whose PC is better at what. Just like 3D mark.

actually it doesnt work this way... vista doesnt count the average but the lowest score...

anyway at first i thought u said external graphic card as in those using USB type like external HDD...

I got some questions:

1. Why I got 4GB of DDR2 RAM still can't score 5.9? Others only 3GB + already 5.9 le. Is that mean my 4 x 1GB of Kingston HyperX 1066MHz of DDR2 no worth for buying?

2. Why I got 57GB out of 75GB of free harddisk space, why still only scored 5.6? Other only 29GB of free space already reach 5.9?

Don't know If, I mean only if, I OC my Computer whether the score can improve or not. Anyway I am not intend to OC my computer in near future, at least).

AMD integrated memory controller can easily scored 5.9. Even DDR2 667 RAM can do it. Intel machine rarely seems to get 5.9, unless it was really high end.

About the HDD, the speed or transfer rate, instead of capacity or free space determine what score you get. Yours is not fast enough.

Here is mine, after changing to a Seagate IDE HDD 80GB, and moving my Windows installation to it via Acronis (lazy to reinstall and retraining the OS).

Really? I will try it. How about my ram? Kingston HyperX ram also score 5.6 nia. too bad.

5.9 is Vista highest score....wen9x88 not bad ....3 max score

I think not need to buy raptor or scsi in order to score 5.9. I believe if your harddisk is with larger cache buffer memory (e.g. 16MB), you will score 5.9. Mine is only 2MB already score 5.6. I am using seagate 80GB harddisk as primary harddisk.
