I'm using SXL version in Thailand. The last row is pretty much useless due to low bench and limited legroom. You can fit 3 kids if move the front rows but legroom will be compromised. 7 or 8 seats would be the best for this car, Thailand only sells 11seaters due to tax reason.

There is a lot of enquiries if the 11 seater when converted to an 8 seater (with the last row seats being folded to the floor), would provide the same leg rooms as compared to a standard 8 seater . In Malaysia, we had the 8 seater previously but is now discontinued and will be replaced by the 11 seater.

Look like I am too late for the 8 seater. When will 11 seater arrive in showroom? Is the diesel engine reliable and problem free?

They r in the showroom already. Maybe just call the nearest kia showroom to find out if they have it.

Now look back the KX is a bargain.

In Thailand there are some owners who actually removed the last row, extend the seat railings so that the 3rd row can be moved all the way back to provide more leg rooms or install VIP seats on the 2nd row.

11 adults wont be comfortable in this car except for short trips.

Also, you get less boot space with 11 seater even with last row folded down.

It's not the same too if u don't want the 4th row. Existing seats will only have 6x 3-point seat belts.. 2nd and 3rd row middle seats are lap belt if not mistaken.

That's what most ppl will miss from the previous 8 seater.

Yes, the down stream auto industry in Thailand is a big one, providing all sort of after-market support and solutions. Unfortunately, we don't have the same market support here in Malaysia.

Unfortunately no. Naza need to list the entire model line up for the SST exemption, regardless of the stock level.

For Carnival , there is no SST waiver, because this Multi-Flexi 6/7/8/11 seater is considered as a commercial vehicle, hence it does not qualify. However, Naza Kia is subsidizing the SST waiver with extra RM 5000 discount (being 50% of the 10% sales tax, under CBU import unit). In addition, there is now Free RM3000 worth of accessories for Early Bird first 100 buyers nationwide. It is a very good deal.

Dear CSD,
Wang Loo KIA has informed me that they have detected severe engine problem is the cause of the problem.
Wang Loo advised to bring back the car to KL for new engine replacement or major repair, so it can be urgently monitored/followed up by NAZA KIA HQ.
Tomorrow 19.6.2020 the car will be towing back to KIA authorised service center i.e RAZA motor@ Setapak KL since it’s nearby my house.
I myself have to find the tow truck and fork out my own money to tow the car back to KL which is nonsense since it’s not my fault at all. KIA should have arranged this NOT me.
It pissed me off when no one from NAZA KIA has courtesy to call me up till now. I need to know how long I have to wait & will I get a replacement car.
Please contact me soonest possible with regard to this incident.

Regards

Subject: KIA Grand Carnival year 2020(VDP3460)- Breakdown

Hi,
FYI, my above MPV encountered breakdown at 12.30pm today during my journey to Johor Bharu at Highway near Yon Peng, Johor.
Upon checking engine oil/radiator’s water everything is ok. No idea why it suddenly stalled.
I called KIA assist to no avail, the customer service just said it will take time sending tow truck, and i waited for hours with no call from KIA assist.
Luckily, I managed to get my insurance’s tow truck assistance. Sucks to KIA assist.
Now my car has arrived at Wang Loo KIA Sdn BHd @ Lot 2554, Jalan Raya Saleng, 81400 Senai, Johor.
I need you to follow up with Wang Loo to ensure everything is checked thoroughly to avoid this ‘mishap’.
And I need assurance from KIA that the same problem would never happen again. I’ll not resort to legal action unless I have to.
This car’s mileage is only 9946 Km & servicing as per schedule.
Please keep me updated on your findings for this problem.

Thank you
Raja Ahmad Shukri
