Just noticed there's improvement on the adaptive brightness. Seems like it's not so aggressive now. Previously it keep setting brightness to minimum even though the condition is a little dark.
Also now I am able to overwrite the brightness manually and the brightness will stay on at that level.

I on location service and stamina mode only kicks in at 15%battery. If you encounter any weird behavior after update then better to format your phone

If u face freq freeze after update, i suggest u do a factory reset.

I am using a flat temper glass one bought from taobao. But there is still about 1mm on the side of the display not covered. Bear in mind that for xz, the glass on the screen starts to curve at the edge of the display. So i doubt any flat temper glass will fully cover the display 100%.

But having said that i too hope there still is some brand make it to cover 100% of the display

Yes indeed. We buy what we need. If you start chasing tech, it's a never ending game. Also if you choose to wait for better spec, it's also a never ending waiting game. Conclusion just but what you need and what appeal to you.

Tech in smartphone is quite mature now. Even a s810 is still working good as of now. 3gb ram... It's just a number. I personally do not feel any lag using xz as my daily phone.

On flagship... To be fair xperia x was never a flagship phone from Sony. X performance sees only limited release in certain country. Not even release in Malaysia. So in 2016 there is only 1 true flagship model from Sony and that's xz.

Come 2017, i think the real flagship is xzp. But that won't be release until late may or June. Xzs, i don't think it's a flagship as it carry the tech spec of 2016. Just a minor update just like the z3+.
