next year sony will announce their new flagship with bezeless design , beast return. whistling.gif

sony phone drop price superb duper fast especially AP set.  rclxub.gif  half year 1 flagship  shakehead.gif

Fixed the type-c myself.
A super tiny and same colour sand dropped inside and stucked there.

The super fast dropping price, I feel Sony didn't valued their loyalty customers.
My first XZ RM2699, one of the only five pre-order in Sony Centre. I felt stupid to pre-order now.
I bought my second XZ happily with RM1399, nearly half price just after 11months++. I should wait 1 year and buy 2 units.

haha , as a xzs use here , i still think the phone is going strong now ...If you rmb , u ultra and xzs were released around the same time in this year around feb and march , the price of u ultra already dropped to 1.6k , while xzs still can maintain at rm2.3k , i think the depreciation rate is quite ok lah  rclxm9.gif

XZ dropped too fast because XZs is upgraded version while XZ1 is successor.
Before Nougat, i agree 3GB ram is ok for android phone.
But after Nougat, 3GB is really a bit less.
Phone will have some random lag/slowness during heavy duty.

If i know XZs will launch 4months later, i definitely will wait for it.

but now 1.5K for AP set Xzs consider ok what  biggrin.gif

1.5k is good, but i will avoid imported set.
No warranty, risk to get tax from custom.

Noticed after Oreo update which I have experienced:-

1. Battery drain very fast and it seems that charging takes a bit longer than previously. Example while watching streaming while charging, battery keep drain than charging?!

2. The phone is heating!! Old problem with heating is back..

3. The phone is sluggish..  When tapping on icons the phone does not respond from the first or even second or third  tap..  which is really frustrating.  I guess overall responsiveness of the screen and acting weirdly.

Not sure about others? Any feedback?
*
1. Battery life slightly better than 7.1 for my case.
And i have usb current meter, the charging input is same as before.

2. Heat is normal if phone run in better performance.
This version, Sony tweak the system slightly higher than better.
No overheat is ok,

3. I agree this some points.
This version is quite laggy after heavy tasking without restart.
Each restart work great for me every 3-5 days.

Thank you for the confirmation.

Just curious that's all, yup I probably wouldn't need to root this phone.
*
For warranty, they verify with the bootloader.
If you didn't unlock it, just restore to factory setting, the warranty is still there.
It was very easy for Xperia phone before Z3. Because it was the last phone support exploit root.
And our XZ is the last phone able to backup TA (the bootloader) before unlock (thanks to dirtycow exploit).
Restore TA + factory restore still able to warranty.

But for your case. XZ1 is no longer able to backup TA, so for now, rooting your phone you must void your warranty.
Unless there are new exploit.

After updated to Oreo , the finerprint sensor still doesnt work well on my xzs . Should i try software repair ? I just updated and format my phone . Will software repair solve the fingerprint issue ? Or it will be the same ? Coz i lazy to wait and perform the software repair again . When i unlocked my phone with fingerprint , i failed most of the time , i was prompted to unlock the phone with PIN instead . This is kinda annoying . I have this problem since Nougat ... Is it hardware faulty ? My finer isn't oily and the sensor isnt dirty either.
*
Re enroll your fingerprint.

But also create more heats.

Been using Existenz Custom ROM for a week and really impressed with its performance, optimization and having fun with the customization.

Much improvement?
I am thinking to unlock many times, but lazy to backup and restore my files.
Do you restore drm key or use drm fix.

Not improvement, I think the best thing about Existenz it's the ability to customize your phone more. I switch back to stock rom and lock my bootloader back because XZ TWRP is not stable, and I had to flash and factory reset a few times.
*
Hmm... not improved? I thought the performance = improvement.
Speed on nougat and stability on mm are the best in my opinion. Oreo is in between them.
But i quite hate the phone will random lag and slowness sometimes, esepcially heat up easily on gaming, and the game will starting slow even lag.
The first time i heard TWRP will be unstable? I thought TWRP is just a flasher, it wont cause system error(unless incomplete or error during flashing.)

Did you try some FSC or LXT or Duality mod to improve performance?
