Same as yuhhaur, the phone does turn warm but not serious. The battery temperature clocked at 40C when browsing under hot sun with mobile data. Meanwhile, the CPU does not go beyond 50C.

Battery peak - 36-37C
CPU peak - 45C
Both were measured with the app AIDA64.

XZ is the least warm phone produced by Sony.

err, that is a misconception here. i have a Note 7 before, and the battery peaked at 35C, CPU at 43C.

yes, with a setting.
at home screen, tap and hold anywhere other than the icons and turn on auto rotation.
i've read your post at Z3 thread also, so supposedly it should.

Try dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check gyroscope.
If the cube does not rotate, means the phone gyro sensor is defective. If it does, try turn auto rotate on and off again.

how about go to Settings > Accessibility and drag to the bottom and find 'Auto Rotate Screen'

Removed my Devilcase bumper and using it naked. Somehow, the feel is damn good.

Nope. I don't have intention upgrading to any phones until 2019.

Maybe it's me too attached to the phone but my XZ is only sluggish at certain times, like after left it idling for quite long without waking it up.

Meanwhile, my Z Ultra has no restarts for 2 months.
I only restart my phone whenever there's an update. i will keep using OTA update until Sony releases Android O. that will be the moment i wipe the phone completely and update by flashing.

I dont feel anything, to be honest.

Not sure if anyone noticed. Now the phone's refresh rate is lowered after the July's security patch.

Once Android O is available, I shall wipe the phone and upgrade via flashing, to find out if a complete flash can restore the performance.

Edit : not sure if Android OS is the cause, since it is active quite frequent.

I need Google Assistant sometimes, so I left it enabled most of the time. However, after disable location, my battery life is better and produce less heat.
