This is the kind of person we are dealing with. I think last year he was being sued by a bank for loan default but wanna counter sue coz he provided fake documents to the bank & it's the bank's fault for not verifying. I think in this phone scam thing, he'll find every loophole not to refund.

Eh Ting Pek Khiing is Sarawakian tycoon bro. He's a government contractor / business man. Very successful. I know him and his family personally. He build the Kuching International Airport plus quite a few flyovers in Kuching as well.

Hes famous for paying people late and then declare bankruptcy and then cannot "pay" the money. But he is also famous for building things quick. His workers work 24 hours 6 days a week. Non stop.

If you guys are buying a handphone from gemfive why not buy direct from gemfive?

Why need to go through another person?

Payment/refund need to go through another person.
Warranty claim (if any) need to go through another person.
Handphones are not cheap items.

I rather buy from a proper shop or direct from gemfive, etc.
Much better in terms of buyer protection.
If you buy direct from gemfive you'll get the refund.
Now you buy via a middleman, the middleman run away and you get nothing.

Becos they wanna use the standard chartered discount and get it for less price.

Since standard chartered debit card is also accepted in the discount code I have no idea why pipul wouldn't want to go to standard chartered to open a savings account and get their own debit card and use that.
