for credit card to post the transaction into transaction history might take 1-7 days typically. It depend when the merchant settle the payment.

For pumping petrol via credit card, it will always charge rm200 / rm250 for "pre-authorize amount", the exact amount will only appear after posted to transaction history.

rm200 is preauthorization.
actual amount pumped will be posted after few days.
then m2u can see.

cc transaction update is not real-time.

1st, it depends on merchant to post the transaction. sometime same day, sometime few days.
2nd, after posting , online portal will take +1 day to show.

upon swiping, the charged amount is still floating. u don't see it, bank can see.

once merchant performed settlement at their end, the charges is officially posted to your account and finalized as complete transaction.

just my simplified understanding.
example, I reloaded TNG at petronas on 1 Jan. this is the transaction date. but I can't see it in m2u.

that petronas took 4 days to perform settlement on 4 Jan. this is the posting date, and where it is finalized into my card account.

if merchant doenst perform settlement for long period, that charge amount will not appear at all in your statement very rare to happen, but it does.

transaction date determines the eligibility (if u swiped on weekends or not)

however last weekend Saturday was 31 Dec. if it get posted in January (likely), then it will utilize Jan cashback quota.

I got 2 petrol transactions on 31 Dec. posted on 1 Jan. my December cashback didn't include the 2 petrol swiped on 31 Dec cuz it got posted in Jan already.
