Also, make sure that the Petronas is close to your place or conveniently located en route to work. If it's far and you travel all the way there just to get a few ringgits of cashback, then you might be losing money instead, since each km you travel using your car costs you money (RM0.50 - RM0.70 per km depending on your car, which includes petrol and car maintenance costs).

Just bought one at Seremban RNR Petronas.

The benefit is you can get cash back when reloading the card. So if let's say you spend RM500 monthly on petrol, then just use Ikhwan Mastercard/Visa to reload the card once and get 5%/8% – 1% (service charge for reloading) on the spot. Now you don't need to worry about not getting cashback when you refuel on Tuesday, because you already got the cashback when you reloaded the card. The downsides are (1) it's hard to find a Petronas that can reload the gift card using CC, (2) usually there is 1% service charge to reload the card, and (3) you lose some flexibility because you have locked RM500 inside the gift card that can only be spent at Petronas.

Yep, I have the same experience with them. They responded quite fast. Both of my Ikhwan cards got approved within 2 days, and posted to me within a week. I applied through M2U.

Seems like my CB for Ikhwan Visa is less 1 cent then what I calculated. Or is my calculation wrong? For each transaction, I round down the calculated CB first before adding all the CB together. I'm supposed to get RM36.52, but I only got RM36.51. Maybe it's because my transactions are not nicely rounded numbers? I always fill up petrol until the pump automatically stops (i.e. full tank).

You'll only get the TnG Zing card if you opted for it when you applied the card. If not, you'll only get the credit card.
