I plan to use Maybank Ikhwan Amex, to pay Unifi bill on Lazada website, in order to get 8% online cashback.

Can Unifi bill payment on Lazada website accept Unifi account number of DXXXXX-XXX-XXXX (X represents a number)?

Thank you for your information. smile.gif

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Oct 26 2023, 08:14 AM)
what unifi service is this? better be clear cuz there are few TM services under "unifi" brand
*
Unifi Lite (formerly known as TMNet Streamyx), which consists of a phone line and internet service.

QUOTE(xiaoxiaoshen @ Oct 26 2023, 09:10 AM)
yes still can use to pay for acc with Dxxxxxxxx. which acc with D is phone line only.
*
Thank you for your confirmation. I incorrectly thought that Unifi bill payment on Lazada website accept only newer Unifi account numbers.

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Oct 26 2023, 08:24 AM)
Can, use Dxxxxxyyyzzzz.
I last paid in mid 2022 (note: now no longer use this type of account numbers as the lines already got converted from copper to fibre)
*
Thank you for your confirmation.

Last year, I tried to pay Unifi bill on Lazada website. I was pretty sure that I keyed in the correct my Unifi account number. However, the Unifi bill payment on Lazada website was rejected, with the amount being credited back to my credit card (one debiting credit card transaction, followed by one crediting credit card transaction).

The cancellation reason cited on Lazada website is invalid account / max transaction limit. Other than this rejected transaction, I did not make other bill payment on Lazada website. As such, the cancellation reason is weird.

Yes, there was a short period, the Lazada App allowed Unifi account number only. But my Alphanumeric account numbers were saved earlier so the payments went through. I think Lazada already rectified it, or you may also use Copy (eg from text at Whatsapp) and Paste (Lazada) the account number.

Alternatively try Airpay (Shopee Bill Payment), can get 2x 100 Shopee Coins today.

Thank you, ClarenceT. I will just try again the Unifi bill payment on Lazada website, by keying DXXXXXXXXXXXX on Lazada website (without hyphens).

I can easily pay the same Unifi account with Maybank 2 Card Amex on Maybank2U website, gaining 5% cashback.

That is why I do not mind learning to pay the Unifi account with Maybank Ikhwan Amex on Lazada website, because I can get additional 3% cashback.

I tried to use Maybank Ikhwan Amex, to pay Unifi bill on Lazada website.

However, Lazada website shows Unifi bill as an unavailable item, with the following details. Thus, I was unable to pay Unifi bill on Lazada website.

Is it normal for such issue to occur occasionally? AnyPay merchant should restock the allocation for the Unifi bill payment a few hours later, right?

Thank you for your information. smile.gif

I tried to pay a bill, on Lazada website. What was weird is that the transaction was approved, without me pressing Secure2U approval in MAE app, and without me keying the Maybank SMS OTP on Lazada website.

I did not save my credit card numbers, before performing the bill payment on Lazada website.

Is it normal for a transaction on Lazada website to be approved, without Secure2U approval?

Does Maybank still consider such transaction on Lazada website an online transaction?

Thank you. smile.gif

For Lazada-EC, most of the time will go through Online verification without OTP/Secure2u verification. Very rare, I experienced 2 times over the years, debit the card account instead of online, ie earn 2x Treat points instead of 8% Cashback.

*
Thank you for your clarification, ClarenceT. smile.gif

I always delete my saved card details prior to performing the online transaction, so that the approval of online transactions will likely trigger OTP/Secure2u verification.

Hopefully, such trigger minimizes the possibility of the online transactions being processed via direct debit.

Sigh, we customers may be unable to prevent the payment gateway to process the online transactions via direct debit.

I get your point that it is worry-free, if we use M2 Card Amex. Well, it is the risk we have to take, if we want to get the higher 8% cashback from Maybank Ikhwan Amex.

Maxis App no longer supports AMEX ?

If for whatever reason you cannot pay with Amex in Maxis App, you can temporarily use Maxis Care Portal, https://care.maxis.com.my, to pay with Amex.

You can still get the same 8% online cashback from Ikhwan Amex for the payment in Maxis Care Portal, similar to Maxis app.

Posting date Transaction date

or MAE App

Yes, you are correct.

The disadvantage of the current M2U website is that we cannot view the posting date of the credit card transactions.

Sigh, Maybank chooses to decommission the classic M2U website, without addressing this disadvantage of the current M2U website.

The FAQ does not state what happens after a cardholder sends an e-mail to opt out from Replacement of Shariah Contract, to mibcards@maybank.com.

Does opting out mean cancelling the Maybank Islamic Card?

I am just very cautious of the changes.

The FAQ does states that: "all card features including cashback, points, discounts, and rewards remain unchanged."

For sure, the banks would want us to quickly agree with the changes.

However, as cardholders, I feel that we really need to ensure that the changes in the contract for Maybank Islamic Card will not cause any hidden ill effects that may be detrimental to us.

Perhaps, the banks do not provide us the full disclosure of all terms and conditions regarding the changes in the contract.

Anyway, as you mentioned before that the internal management of the card is transparent to users, I should not overthink, and should instead agree with the replacement of the Shariah contract.

Thank you.

I also encountered similar issue, when I made a payment to directly clear SPayLater Bill, without reloading ShopeePay ewallet.

Transaction Description during Secure2u approval: MY SHOPEE PAY LATER

Transaction Description shown in pending transaction in Maybank2u website: SPAYLATER REPAYMENT-EC KUALA LUMPUR 59200 000

Transaction Description shown in unbilled transaction in Maybank2u website: SHOPEEPAY KUALA LUMPUR MY

For your Ikhwan Amex card, did you get any TreatsPoints for your SPayLater transaction on 15 Nov 2025?

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Nov 18 2025, 12:41 PM)
It is merchant's issue.
Just like SenQ has a lot of credit card device at the counter, the cashier simply use any device, not always using Maybank one.

Which bank is the acquirer bank for SPayLater?

When you called MBB Card CS, what did you say to MBB Card CS?

And, what reasons did you use to support your argument?

Thank you for your information.

I always manually type my card details, before making a payment to SPayLater. After the payment is completed, I will delete the saved card details.

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Nov 23 2025, 08:57 AM)
For those just saved the card details to Shopee account, will see "MY SHOPEE MARKETPLACE" at approval page, when pay Spaylater will get "MY SHOPEE PAY LATER" at 3D secure page and the posted description is "SHOPEEPAY" (but MCC 5964 instead of 6540).
Ok, thank you for providing the MCC.

Since our SPayLater transactions with the description of SHOPEEPAY KUALA LUMPUR MY have the MCC of 5964, our SPayLater transactions should not be classified as e-wallet transactions.

QUOTE(blibala @ Nov 23 2025, 09:47 AM)
for the same transaction i tried 3 times until i see seamoney on the 3rd times
*
Thank you for sharing your tip.

So, only when we see Seamoney during Secure2u approval, then we shall approve the transaction to pay SPayLater bill right?

If we see MY SHOPEE PAY LATER or any other merchant name during Secure2u approval, we should reject the transaction or let the Secure2u lapses without approval.
