QUOTE(lichyetan @ Aug 5 2008, 10:16 PM) my advice is never get TT or CM WC kit if u really wan performance... try custom kit from bryan or metalzone ... Thanks for the heads up regarding TT or CM WC kits TT kits pro: cheap TT kits cons: performance lousy, Thermalright Air Coolers surely pawned it... pump will die over time, lotsa TT kits users suffering dead pump after sometimes of usage, and the rma of local distributor are slow... lousy acrylic block, some will crack over time due to cheap quality acrylic used... water block design are out of date, inefficient in cooling... aluminium radiator + copper block ? corrosion surely happens... hope it doesnt... etc... more to come... havent think of it.. my recommendations: Apogee GT waterblock Swiftech MCR-220QP T-Line Nirox pump or D-Tek DB-1 pump 1/2 ID tubings or 3/8ID tubings this setup surely better than the TT, if space is a problem u can get a 120mm radiator instead of 2x120mm radiator... Btw, what is the different between 1/2 ID and 3/8ID tubings ? Is it the thicker tube the better, which one should i choose ? You see, this is my first attempt at WC, have little knowledge about custom WC kits. |

QUOTE(IcEMoCHa @ Aug 5 2008, 10:50 PM) only the size .. 1/2"ID more flow thru the tube where 3/8"ID has a faster flow... thicker tube depending on the wall... some tubing has thick walls which prevent kinking... you can ask bryanyeo87 recomend parts for wc to u... Thanks for the explanation |

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Aug 5 2008, 11:32 PM) the difference between 1/2 ID tubings and 3/8 tubings are minimal... around 1c or 0.xx c... u can refer to xtremesystems forum... but for me, i think 7/16ID tubings with 1/2OD barbs works best... Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation if u wan a neat looking setup, suggest u use the 7/16ID/5/8OD tubings with 1/2'OD barbs or 3/8 ID/5/8OD or 3/8ID 1/2 OD tubings with 3/8OD barbs... *OD = outer diameter ID = inner diameter Just got reply back from bryanyeo87 |
