In conjunction with the Malaysian MotoGP, and graced by Valentino Rossi, Yamaha held the ASEAN launch of the 2017 Yamaha NVX,
which will also be named “Aerox” for some markets. Based on the same model family as the 2016 Yamaha NMax, the NVX is not a replacement,
but is instead part of a range of scooters under-pinned by Yamaha’s 155 cc Blue Core engine.



A 155cc Yamaha Blue Core liquid-cooled engine will do the duties for the NVX. This single cylinder petrol unit is capable of delivering 14.8 Bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.4 Nm at 6,000rpm.

The feature set will include-

14-inch rims25-litre under seat storage compartment ABS as standard.
Twin eye LED headlights and LED tail and brake lights.
Smart key systemdigital Instrument cluster with 5.8 inch LCD display

Using the same liquid-cooled, SOHC four-valve single with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) as the NMax,
the engine is rated at 14.8 hp at 8,000 rpm and torque is claimed at 14.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
Driving a CVT gearbox, the NVX features bulkier styling than the NMax, notably in the fairing.




Rolling on 14-inch wheels, the NVX cuts a very aggressive stance, helped by the faired-in turn signals and curvy profile of the bodywork.
A 25-litre storage compartment is found under the seat, and there is a small glove box on the right side of the dashboard for miscellaneous items.

givi box for your helmet and jacket and underneath compartment for your wife and her stuff.

Dressed up perfectly to ride this bike to wanna pick-up my GF, suddenly along the expressway thunderstorm come, all wet ......

Then a Kancil which cost less than rm3000 passed by with 4 passengers inside & you felt like WTF............

Morale of my story, Car > Bike

then 1 hour later, thunderstorm stopped..


Kancil still stuck in MRR2, hoping to go pavilion..


by the time the 4 passengers enjoying their time in pavilion....the bike's GF already had her hot shower and now laying down on her bed..


while the Kancil driver looking at his/her watch thinking what time suitable, hoping it wont be traffic jam going back home..bcoz he knew he will end up again be the driver.


all 4 now in kancil, whispering in own heart, blaming each other like WhoTheFcuk! did window shopping like there's no tomorrow, earlier..


and none of the 3 want to be the driver..

Ya rain is the huge drawback. But why i opt to usually run on bike instead of my car is coz everywhere in klang valley traffic is bad. With bike on every traffic light junction u get to be the frontline 😄. Also fuel cost much cheaper. Also no tol. Also some parking space is very expensive for car or totally no carpark. With bike u can just park on a pavement in front of a shoplot for example.

You are blinded with vibrate coverset problem. Very biased opinion. Sure Honda model like Wave do really have bad coverset but for EX5 model it wont vibrate. Even my old rare EX5 Class-1 dont have any vibrate coverset. Only my Wave 125 1st generation have. EX5 for sure dont have that problem.

Scoots are by far my favorite mode of transport as a daily, easy to ride and handle. Front brakes, rear brakes. No clutch, no manual gear.

Just maintain the engine properly and you're good to go..

why? better ride quality during bumpy cornering, because both left and right swing arms travel are equally balanced..

if using dual shock (each shock at each swing arm), both swing arms travel will not balance, one goes down or goes up more than the other....

but i sell it cos too old, and wiring kaput, plus spare part is quite rare and expensive, not alot of pomen can do this bike, all headache..
blame malaysian moped market, cos this bike is small bike, but using DOHC engine, and using 3 phase wiring system, all digital lcd meter panel, oil cooled etc.. so much advanced..
maintaining my brand new axia is much cheaper headache free...

but i learn alot of diy when using this bike, i learn many bike stuff which i will never learn if i bought brand new bike.. (i got this bike second hand)

oh yes, this bike using monoshock too, infact big bikes almost all using monoshock, unless it is a cafe/oldschool look bike like kawasaki w800 style bike..

this is not scooter bro...and usually...scooter engine is in the middle...and there is no room to place a monoshock there...
for a scooter...a "monoshock" is place on the left side only llike picture i share here...n its performance are not tat good either...

nak pakai dual shock pun kena ada double sided swing arm,
kalau moto single arm nak pakai dual shock mcm mana..
