well for all i know, slipstream is better for case cooling and gentle typhoon is better for radiator cooling .
yes slipstream has more airflow but it doesnt mean its good for radiator . for radiator, ignore the CFM and look on the static pressure statistic . the 38mm version with good static pressure could reach 3.5mmH20 like that . its very good though . |

i somehow think this video has a rough view of static pressure ? the last fan, silverstone air penetrator is pushing the air nicely concentrated . something like this laa i think if have good static pressure |

great static but not much air pushed but i guess dat's probably because of less RPM .
u would want probably something like 75CFM 2.2-2.5mmH20 . i recommend yate loon d12sh12 from vladtheimpaler for RM35 each ^^, This post has been edited by monsh: Jun 26 2010, 02:50 PM |

yeah actually i might get the r3e block later but see if there's any other option than EK 1st .
not sure bout the diff but now mine running 50-51C on both IOH and ICH without any OC . hopefully it'll stay below 70C under load after OC later . btw, it'll be helpful to get the block if want to go for more uncore ^^, perhaps 4k onwards |

what's up with the fight suddenly ?
vlad is the best to come up with such idea . its a good thing letting people do more homework and for those who comes up with great idea, wins d prizes . hurricane or not, that depends on the person itself . im using yate loon, satisfied with the performance and yes it is a bit noisy due to the turbulence . but heck, im going for performance, i wouldnt even mind getting the black ice gtx + yate loon . u want to earn something, u might have to lose something as well . u want performance, u'll lose the silent operation . u want silent operation, u'll lose the performance . give and take situation guys . anyway, i'd say dont blame anyone . if u fall for a trap into noisy setup, dont blame anyone for it . everyone should have done some homework before getting stuffs like this . sorry but we have to be fair to everyone right . i wont take side on anyone . we all just waiting for the result right . who knows, magical stuff could happen . maybe the gts280 can cope with all those heat . for me its not more of a competition, its more of uniqueness and creativity .
i've been in the WC world for almost 2 years now and im still doing research seeing which is the best in terms of everything and bla bla bla there's a lot to be researched . frankly speaking, its more than just a WC system . i somehow think that even the casing + material used for the casing is playing a role in getting good temps and stuffs . WC world is too wide right . we should explore more and see where it would lead us . |
