So, Redmi 3S vs Redmi 4 (Standard) is similar but not the same? Some difference, but not sure correct or not.
- VoLTE support
- Dual LED flash

Infrared port still retain?

My hypothesis:
SOT of Snap625 + 4000mAh + 1080P is more or less similar to current Redmi 3S. This is due to the Snap625 is more energy efficient when it comes to multi-tasking and heavy intensive tasks like 4K@30fps HEVC video capture and playback, gaming and GPS Navi without badly sacrificing performance. There will be "micro-stutter" or "micro-lag" for hyper-intensive tasks but can be "forgiven" in the trade of EXTREMELY low energy consumption. Thanks to the 14nm fab for Snap625.

I think SOT will be slightly less than 3S. 1080p will have power penalty to battery life, not to mention low fps gaming performance considering GPU is almost same with Snapdragon 430.

I was hoping Pro version come with Snapdragon 650

This is exactly what i want....faster ver of redmi 3...hope snap 625 with 2ghz clock performance par with snap 650....note 3 just too big and heavy...

No it won't. 650 has dual A72 (big cores) while 625 only have quad high clocked A53 (small cores), for performance cores. Even with high clock & newer process (14nm) it's a far cry of A72 especially in single core performance.
I don't know why it is so hard to put 650 in sub 5"phone

If you don't mind the size, RN3 is a better option. I'm waiting for RN3 to shrink into Redmi size but so far no luck. RN3 size is not pocket friendly & I prefer single handed usage.
Snapdragon 650 is superior than 625, although might lose a little bit on battery life. But still, RN3 can last full day usage with no problem

Dual LED flash, bottom firing speaker. Better go for prime, got Full HD display & better processor.

Is it from Terabyte? If it is, actually silver colour. Misleading picture.

guys mind sharing what is the best method to back up files from the internal memory? i like to do regular back up after my last phone died on me, cant boot up to backup memory, my redmi4a using usb cable seems extremely slow when plug in as file transfer mode, esp transfer large number of files like whatsapp folder...

any times so far i been back all files to memory card then use card reader to backup, but kindda hectic each time..

Mi account can backup call history, sms, contact, setting, etc. Just off photo backup, free account won't have enough space. For photos, just use google photos. It can backup all of your photos for free with no noticeable compression.

Whatsapp you can backup to google drive. If your current account almost full, create a new google account for whatsapp use only. You can set whatsapp to backup daily/weekly, normally it'll backup after 2 a.m. Wifi use is recommended, as each backup can take hundreds of MBs to few GBs each time depending your current whatsapp size.

both option is out of the question i have more than 50gb of photos and videos, and my internet, SHITMYX upload is slow like snails.... totally unusable... sad.gif

yesterday i pull the sandisk ultra class 10 sd card out and copy via card reader and halfway there the thing pop error and disconnected my card totally corrupted, have to recover with apps and even so 1 month plus of photos and videos gone, so damn sad...
tried multiple apps to recovers all fail...  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif

my advice to all when u back up stuff try small portion copy paste at a time don't copy all and paste, this really screw me up...

wish there is an auto app to sync backup to my pc each day/month/week when i plug in usb cable

Maybe you can try Digi Infinite, RM150/month. Good replacement for Streamyx if Digi coverage is good at your home.
