Still no confirmed release date for RX 490/490X?
My PowerColor DEVIL R9 390X is getting worse everyday, more artifacts is displaying while playing games & it only has 13 months of warranty left sweat.gif

What artifacts?  laugh.gif
Small boxes appearing here & there while playing several games & some games even crashes back to desktop
The card is factory overclocked to 1150MHz
Downclocked the card to 1100MHz then everything is smooth again

The water pump on the GPU also sometimes doesn't run when the PC hasn't been turned on for several days, had to knock softly on the back of the GPU then only the pump will work

Want to wait until RX 490 is released because if I RMA now, afraid they will only replace it with RX 480 sweat.gif

Hahahaha u smart bugger, good for you if they replace with Vega
Here's hoping sweat.gif
QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Feb 11 2017, 07:02 PM)
Did you try to add more voltage on the core?
I'm not an overclocker
Well.... not anymore, so won't be doing that tongue.gif
QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Feb 11 2017, 07:02 PM)
What if they still replace you with 480 even after 490 already available?  laugh.gif
I'll F them up until they give me what I want
I paid pretty penny for this GPU, it's more expensive than most R9 390X because of it's built-in AIO liquid cooling vmad.gif

Is it just me or does RX 580 specs look lower than R9 390X?
No, I'm not trolling. I'm trying to understand why

Or is there RX 590 coming soon?
Really need to RMA my 390X. Only 1 year warranty left. But looking at RX 580 specs, I'm not convinced I should send it for RMA now sweat.gif

It pretty much is.

My R9 390 performs greater than my RX 470, so an RX 480 is around R9 390 performance.

Since RX 580 is basically RX 480 with higher clocks, the performance should be around (I reckon lower) when compared to R9 390X.
So should I wait?
It's running fine when I downclock it to AMD official clockspeed for 390X. Only when on PowerColor factory overclocked speed the card starts to produce artifacts

biggrin.gif With RX 580, you're better off wait for stock-clearance RX 480 it seems.
I'm not gonna buy tongue.gif
Just hoping when I RMA my 390X, I'd get something worthy of the card. Possibly RX 590? Who knows

But as I mentioned earlier, RX 580 specs look lower than 390X, that's why I'm having doubts either I should RMA the card now or not
1 year warranty left.

Forgot to mention earlier
AMD official clockspeed for 390X is 1050 MHz
Whereas PowerColor overclocked speed is 1100 MHz
That 50 MHz bump really puts a damper in my gaming

But once I downlocked the card to 1050MHz, everything runs smoothly without any hickups

Workload?
It's not a gaming graphic card? sweat.gif

Reading the VEGA Frontier overview in AMD website, quite confusing rclxub.gif

Been having frustrating flickering issue on my 1 month old AOC Agon AG322FCX
I've done everything I could think of:
1. Rolling back to old drivers, even as old as drivers from April this year
2. Uninstall the monitor driver & use Microsoft's original PNP monitor driver
3. Change cables to new one (tested both DP & HDMI) both using premium new cables
4. Format my PC
5. Downgrade my OS from Windows 10 to Windows 7
6. Switching to different PCI-E slot on my motherboard

The only thing I haven't tried is using a different graphic card. Because I don't have any other graphic card except an R7 250 which sadly, does not support FreeSync doh.gif

Oh and by the way, the issue happens 3 days after I switch my casing from Phanteks Enthoo Luxe to Cooler Master HAF XB EVO
I highly doubt it's the casing that causes this issue, but I think I should mention it anyway

My PSU is Corsair RM850i which is less than 2 years old. My R9 390X is also less than 2 years old

I believe it's either the graphic card or the monitor itself, but too damn busy to send them for RMA

Only happened when Freesync is enabled?
Yes
Ordered an RX 550 to test, once it arrives will check if the issue is caused by the monitor itself or the graphic card

Hopefully it's the monitor, not the graphic card because I highly doubt I can get R9 390X if I send it for RMA now
Don't want them to replace it with RX 580 because that will be a downgrade
And my HAF XB EVO case is a little cramped to put anything longer than 285mm

US$599 for liquid cooled
That means RM2400 before GST
Hopefully it doesn't go beyond RM3000 when it reaches our shores biggrin.gif

have you try lowering the refresh rate to 120hz and see if that eliminate it?
I did. Even tried going as low as 60Hz, the flickering is still there albeit at a lower level

Seem that Freesync and flickering is quite common, have you try lowering the refresh rate to 120hz and see if that eliminate it?
Just got my RX 550 today
Flickering is still there, so can confirm it's the monitor that's broken

Damn. It's only 1 month old! vmad.gif

damn. imagine the sag
That's why horizontal case is the best. You don't have to worry about heavy graphic card sagging + heavyweight CPU cooler bending your motherboard

Example of horizontal cases are like Cooler Master HAF XB & Thermaltake Core series (Core X5/X9)
