Called Samsung Gurney Paragon and asked when will I receive the refund as I had returned it on Monday and still haven't received the money after 5 working days and the guy told me that they have submitted the refund forms to SME. I asked if the refund will be made by their company or SME and he said SME. So, I guess those who pre-ordered from Gurney Paragon will have to pester Samsung CS to hurry with the refund.

Finally received my refund last night.Not sure what causes the delay was SME requested the dealer (Samsung Gurney Paragon) to send a copy of the invoice to them after I filed a complaint through their CS chat. Most likely it was a miscommunication or carelessness on both sides but I basically waited for 2 weeks for nothing.
Timeline: 24th Oct: Returned Note 7 in exchange for refund (Samsung Gurney Paragon told me within 5 working days) 2nd Nov: Called up the store, the guy told me they had sent in the refund forms and will be settled by SME. The way he said it, it's like none of the store's problem already. 7th Nov: Still hadn't received my refund. Had a chat with a CS guy named Max. Very helpful, he asked for my IMEI & Serial Number and escalated my problem to his higher up. Later that night, received a call from the store asking about my refund problem and told him about the situation and asked about the status of my refund. He said hedl get back to me. 9th Nov: Went to the store (after watching Dr. Strange 11th Nov: Received the refund at full amount. |
