On SME's Facebook, still got ex-Note 7 users asking for special treatment and discounts again. I wonder when will it end, hahaha....

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Oct 12 2017, 11:05 PM) I guess it’s interesting for those who are still on the Note 5 and haven’t made the leap to Note 8. The price gap is significant! I did not get a chance to own the 7 coz the recalls started before I could make up my mind so I might be interested to get one down the road when it gets cheaper or if someone decides to let theirs go early |

QUOTE(wkshai @ Nov 5 2017, 02:18 AM) Sold my note 8 then move to note fe. Considering the FE is cheaper by more than 1k, that’s normal. For 2.5k though there are many other Android flagships available, unless one really needs to have the S-Pen, or one truly is a Samsung fan.Today at mid valley it's seem many people's purchase note fe instead of the note 8. Cheers. |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 5 2017, 04:31 PM) Sorry, but for Rm2.5k, there are many other flagships with better specs than the note Fe ie the oneplus 5. Even the S8/S8+ would be a better buy, Ya, my sentiments exactly. Unless you absolutely need the S-Pen and can’t afford the Note 8, only then is the Note FE a good buy. |

QUOTE(wkshai @ Nov 5 2017, 06:46 PM) Not said can't afford it or not. Ya, some people loved the Note 7 look and feel over other flagships. Cheers buddy! It's just what we need n personal reference. For me, 5.7" amoled screen, single len camera, s-pen, 16:9 ratio good for full screen movie, easy hold on 1hand with put into pocket n carry around. Currently note fe is my daily rider n v30 for my headphones HD 800i n Focal Utopia at home used only. Yes in between rm2.6k got many choices n brands to choose. I have owned u11, op5, xzp, s8 series, note 8, mate 9 Porsche, mate 10 n mi mix 2. IPhone X space grey just arrived but not tested yet. Cheers buddy. |

QUOTE(touristking @ Nov 12 2017, 01:02 PM) different phone have different interface. So you actually go through the trouble to learn to use them all? You sure have patience. The problem is not that bro, I kinda like trying out new UI and features but the problem is I set up every Android phone as new, which means I end up installing over 40 to 50 of my most used apps over and over again, ha ha... |

QUOTE(vhs1 @ Nov 12 2017, 01:52 PM) Respect! Ya, I tried restoring from an old backup before on Android and had some massive battery drain issues - if not mistaken it was on a Note 5. After consulting with some Android experts, they suggested I try setting up as new instead of restoring and it works like a charm. Am not sure if this problem still exists though, Android has improved by leaps and bounds since.Give +1 Actually I believe set up as new is much much better. Some application might be corrupted over time. Set up as new clears old lingering problems. I would set up as new too QUOTE(vhs1 @ Nov 12 2017, 01:56 PM) The idea only works ifa) you buy the new phone heavily discounted b) you buy a used phone in very new condition Otherwise, you'd lose too much and that hobby is not sustainable financially |

QUOTE(enduser @ Jan 2 2018, 11:18 AM) Great news. Having missed the Note 7 here's hoping I can score one for RM1500 in a couple months time |

QUOTE(nickchk89 @ Jan 2 2018, 03:02 PM) QUOTE(enduser @ Jan 2 2018, 03:41 PM) No la, not expecting the phone to perform miracles, just putting an old regret to bed having missed out on this phone before the explosion saga. I'll probably get a used unit just to toy with it for a while. |

QUOTE(vhs1 @ Jan 3 2018, 12:05 AM) Me too. I'm hoping to score at 1500 too. But since I'm very contented with my IR equipped honour 8 Pro, I guess I'll be skipping this phone. Bearing in mind, initially I have placed a 100 deposit during the pre sale which I forgo. I think I'll sit this one out. * I still have liking for s pen, nevertheless QUOTE(Al Puccino @ Jan 3 2018, 07:22 AM) 1.5 seems abit far fetched. I mean if the new ones hit 1.8k, then the used ones will be going around 1.5 - hopefully at 1.7 is slightly possible. at most i can see is the price go down to 1.8. |
