QUOTE(Max2006 @ Mar 6 2018, 02:00 PM) Hey guys, for those who afraid that Samsung might have abandoned, or forget, or treat Note FE as stepson, etc. That's not the case. In fact, Samsung promised that they will update Note FE on regular basis. However, they will only update quarterly. https://security.samsungmobile.com/workScope.smsbreally ... you don't see the second class treatment there? even bloody Note 5 outranked the FE. That statement by Samsung is clearly a "in your face direct punch you then give you candy" statement.

QUOTE(edan1979 @ May 3 2018, 04:17 PM) there's no gif tab. normal for samsung. Noooo we won't give all new function to lesser device.... but it's in the changelog and they clearly state it as a feature for us to enjoy under samsung experience 9.0 umbrella why bother to put in changelog if not going to implement it ? f**ksung seriously !!

QUOTE(Chester77 @ May 21 2018, 06:54 AM) btw, anyone know how to turn off the swipe up sammy pay function? go to sammy pay app under settings select "use favorite card" then toggle the on/off for diff places to your desire. btw can you get GIF keyboard to work ? oh and battery is just fine if not better for me at least ... can last one and half day on light usage.

QUOTE(andrwss @ Jun 27 2018, 02:15 PM) So which phone did you get after these months? I don't need spen, but i love samsung for the reliability, i was using note 2 until now and happy with it. I'm considering Huawei P10 plus/mate 9 pro too as they're all same price, but not sure if it is a problematic brand. cant say for older models but new huawei seems rather decent. btw if huawei is your choice add 200-300 more and you can get the Mate 10 @~1.7k. the mate 10 is a rather solid phone with machine learning AI too. At that time, had i no use for s-pen, i would have lean strongly towards the Mate 10 (non pro ver.) This post has been edited by frozz@holic: Jun 28 2018, 09:42 AM

QUOTE(thana146 @ Oct 31 2018, 01:46 PM) Experiencing the same here. Almost 20% drain overnight.. I am still with Android V7.0 I'm on the latest firmware and i observe this battery drain for couple of weeks. appox ~ 8 hours overnight drain average about 10 - 15% for me. this should be normal right for a phone of 1 year old tmr ?

QUOTE(@mri @ Jan 20 2019, 03:44 PM) Thanks for the advise bro. But my warranty was outdated from last year December. Really great phone for me. The seller from carousell just reply me. He say it is original part for Note 7. Maybe later will try to meet him first to see the condition. pal do feedback here on the seller and transaction yea ... cause i have no idea when but my screen has spider web crack on the bottom already and my 1 year screen warranty just pass a month ago (dammit motherf****). I may go with the seller too if he is good. does he include installation too ? and what's his warranty like ?

did anyone notice that the pie update mentioned "it streamline things" but actually really just remove many features some even I detest, some small examples like
- alarm now always ring ascending volume only no where to toggle it off. - volume toggle when volume button is press while on any app now only shows you the level only, you cannot direct adjust the level instead have to keep pressing the physical buttons - device maintenance became lame device care with less features on app controlling. - you are now unable to gesture swipe for instant pop-up window instead have to go to recent app and click it. (unless i am missing something) - game launcher now do not have the floating button instead you have to click it on the notification tray.
on plus side
- battery usage is now better optimized (after all that auto reinstalling of sammy apps) - yes one-handed mode is way easier now (I don't really care for this) - sammy's own night mode
long story short this update gets an F for me and the only really plus side for me is the night mode (though the dark theme mode is better)

2 years 4 mths in ... my battery is still strong, heavy user here.
if any;
- current phone no major damage. - I/you do not need the newer specs tech at least not in the near future (~ 2 years) - the replacement battery is a a respectable/tolerable price point
I would not change new phone.
