Hi, im currently using Standard Chartered JustOne Platinum MasterCard Credit Card. Can anyone explain the cash back scheme? Seems like i've been using more than 3 months, still no cashback. In statement Description stated "JOP CashBack +2, amount is 0.00". I spend more than 2.5k in total with mixture of everything. Yet when you scroll the statement to the bottom, theres a column of Cashback Balance with a significant low amount accumulated. Is this not cashback like mbb?

Example spending:
Shopping : 2000 (IKEA)
Petrol : 500 (Shell)
Total : 2500

Cashback:
Shopping (0.2%) : RM4
Petrol (15%) : RM75

Is this the amount of cashback i should be getting?

Yes, that's how it is calculated. And it is based on calendar month, NOT your statement month!

top-up 2x 100 to Bigpay just now, received drift SMS within 1 min. got 1x RM5. Looks like link starts with numeric gets nothing - I've received links start with 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 and all got nothing, while links starts with alphabet will get at least RM5

How do you redeem the cashback? Tried but somehow I can't proceed with Get Cash option.

As i informed by ambank credit card service department
If i have outstanding balance RM1000 and SST have been charges RM25.
My total outstanding is RM1025.
I told ambank i wish to terminate cc and ambank should revert back RM25 since there is no retail transaction after SST charges.

Ambank cs responded :

Payment consider as transaction, there is transaction date after SST so we can't rebate RM25 SST.

I insists i just pay RM1000 for my outstanding balance and still insist waive for SST.

Ambank cs responded:

Sir, if u pay RM1000, system will auto deduct SST first RM25, so at the end u still own ambank rm25.

I was like... rclxub.gif

I just share my experienced, maybe different bank have different practice.

My experience with Ambank - didn't use the card for long time, SST charged and I paid. Cancel the the card a couple of months later and now I've RM25 credit for the cancelled credit card for the last 2 years - received statement once a year telling me I've MR25 credit rclxub.gif

You have to pay for these even when u cancelled the card?
*
You don't have to pay annual fee or SST to cancel your card if there are no transaction after annual fee and/or SST are charged or posted to your account/card

A couple of guidelines that I use
- don't use cards with annual fee for direct debit (insurance, bills and etc), installment (I don't use at all), or balance transfer.
- stop using the card a couple of weeks before anniversary date (or statement date), and request for annual fee/SST waiver / rebate before using them again, else just cancel the card
