So based on feedback, seems that it is safe to say that 99% of time a call to request for annual fee waiver will be granted?
Initially I just applied the Visa Platinum card since that is guaranteed free for life to get the free gift from RinggitPlus. The salesperson called and offered JustOne card and since first year is free so why not give it a try as well.
I don't quite like the hassle of calling for annual fee waiver every year if they tend to not approve it as I don't see myself using this card that much.

Received notification that card is approved, I'm getting the feeling that I'll also be getting 5k credit limit since HSBC just gave me relatively low limit as well.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 8 2017, 08:34 PM) Maybe won't be so unlucky like me. I mentioned earlier that I forgot to pay on due date and got charged with RM 10 financial charges. Then on top of that I still spent a lot after my due date, today got statement and was charged with RM 20.05 interest. Called SCB can only try to waive RM 10 financial charges but not interest. Lesson learnt for forgetting to set alert for payment. Luckily got RM 110 cash back (RM 50 monthly cash back + RM 60 Uber cash back) makes me feel better but still... Received my card, 5k limit as expected.

QUOTE(SzeMeng76 @ Aug 10 2017, 10:40 AM) Should be stand for "Principal". Not really sure. QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 10 2017, 10:49 AM) Yes, correct. It is "Principal". I see, the other SC card I have does not have principal on it. I guess this is like a "main" account.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 16 2017, 04:33 PM) Yay, thanks for the alert. Redeemed. If I maximize RM 1500x12 also can't get 20k. Why 1st August 2018? Next time will be difficult to waive? I'm guessing that it is just to make this card look like AF can be waived. Previously there was no indication that it can be waived with certain condition. Hopefully when this is effective it can still be waived easily via a phone call.

In my latest statement for JustOne, saw that there is an annual fee charged when I thought it should be waived for the first year. The CS checked in the system and was told that my account is not eligible for the waiver, weird since it states first year should be waived. Either way she has submitted the waiver request for reason that I have been a good paymaster and frequent usage of the card.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 30 2018, 09:59 PM) Checked back your old posts, you got your card last year right? So one year has passed and yes it will be charged to you this year. So meaning to say annual fee (if any) is charged the moment you get the card? Example if I apply and receive a new card that has annual fee this month, I will be charged the annual fee when I get the card for Sept 2018 until Sept 2019? Never had any other card that charged the moment I received the card so no experience on this.

I’m adding the Cashback card as an additional card to my JOP. If my JOP anniversary is in May and I get my Cashback card this month, do I now have different anniversaries for each card or it will follow my other cards?
As I also need to know by when I should have 20k spending to get the annual fee waiver.

QUOTE(MGM @ Oct 29 2018, 09:09 AM) Anyone using Standard Chartered Mobile Key? Must have internet access to be able to use? If I use it, OTP would not be sent by SMS anymore, or I can enable either one thru app at anytime? Good for overseas use cos do not have to receive expensive OTP by SMS? QUOTE(hakkai0810 @ Oct 29 2018, 09:22 AM) according to their website, it can generate the pin even offline Yes it works like any other authenticator. Similar to how HSBC’s security device works but for this it is done via its phone app.

QUOTE(hsiung @ Feb 2 2019, 05:11 PM) Same here, used to be from 1 number, now split into 2 numbers. Btw, yesterday was lucky to get 1 #b and 1 #d in just 4 spins, today 10 spins only 1 #b. Does every SC card gives you maximum 2 spins a day?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 19 2019, 09:17 AM) I think we need further confirmation before just shot out a post like this which can cause confusion. There was already a confusion weeks ago happened in BP thread talking about new MCC is Cash Advance and bla bla, so please don't repeat in this thread. Thanks. Or it could be they have two different payment gateway processor and both are having different MCC at the moment. Something like how Shopee switches between the two gateway they have.

I have 2 SC cards, Liverpool and JustOne. I accidentally mixed up the amount and transferred to wrong accounts between this two.
So my JustOne has excess payment and Liverpool has not enough payment.
I spoke to CS and they said they will help to transfer but it will take 3 days. My due date just passed and she said I will be charged the late payment fees/interest.
Anyone has successfully appealed for such cases before? Technically I paid in full for my total combined statement, just to the wrong accounts.

Really had to use the emergency option to speak to a customer service rep. Secure mail through online banking kinda hopeless, difficult to get a reply.
