went an interview as mudlogger. there's about 15 candidates and i was booted out at 1st round representing the minority 5 though i think i performed well.
we went thru self presentation > group activity (building a bridge) > group discussion.
im nt really sure whut they look for in an applicant but its definitely not your qualifications or your communication skills. its more to your personality ? or psychology and their hidden agenda.
what i meant by that is its not how good u perform (in terms of showing ur leadership or good english or performance), rather, they see if your average, do not stand out that much but not too weak, a follower behaviour to assign you a job which is suitable for you. they do not like people who brag (though im not braggin or force myself to talk in order to show i do contribute sth).
my group members were shocked when i failed to proceed to the 2nd stage.
but that's the case for this interview which is mudlogger screening. if they hiring for different positions, i dont exactly know. because mudloggin is sort of a dying industry where workers comes n goes and ppl quit after few months or 1-2 years. therefore, if they hire someone who is ambitious, idealistic, they realize that these kind of people dont stay for long.
but that's my personal thoughts. perharps im really inadequate ? or maybe i do not fit their criteria.. but what i know for sure is that those people that got passed the 1st round aint as impressive and outstanding and even below average. haha

Hi just wondering you get to choose whether you wanted to be in wireline / mwd or other segment for FE ? Or they will assigned for you which segment you going to join after you successfully passed the interview, cause i see mostly they only mentioned grad field engineer , nothing specific.

I'm a bit confused because the fella called me informally. Even sent me few emails in informal manner.

I am currently working right now and needs 2 months notice for termination. Seems like the way u said in Stage 4, they insist u to go for field training within 1 night. Is it gonna be a problem for people like me?

I'm quite sure some of those who went for the interview must be already working or something.

I applied for a chemical engineer position. Did it last month, and i think accidentally re-applied few days ago. All done online through their website. Lol. I have an offer in an oil & gas company at the moment and will be starting soon but still waiting for other offers if there are any coming my way.

the job profile is Research, engineering, manufacturing and sustaining (REMS). There were a list of engineering disciplines to choose from but I don't think they are positions, but probably qualifications or something which is related to the Job profile.
