compare my old nexen n8000 when new. I can say n8000 is more silent than v12evo2 slightly.

I think is due to tyre pattern.

yup, but v12 is more to performance type. So, comparing both performance wise. Which one is better? btw, how much is the nexen n8000 for that size?

I can't say much as this tyre only 2day old.
For Nexen N8000 everything is good when new but whenever the wear reach 40-50% this tyre is useless... for eg. Big yellow box like smartag lane, it will skid when little corner is made, and when go into straight it will trigger my ABS by applying normal braking. All this happen when rain. Dry condition no problem.

N8000 serve me around 1 and half year with 40k km, i was price at RM400++/pc. But nexen n8000 already stop production.

Just install this tyre at Teoh Brothers Meru.
Size 225/40/R18 (1316) manufacturing date at RM320/pc incl GST.

FOC balancing and RM30 for 4pc alignment. What a bargain....

Recently with heavy raining seasons, I'm happy to report that my v12 evo2 performs very well. Those tyre diverse water like knife and never let me down. Hope they can at least cover 40k or 2 years for me.

Personally I find most new tires disperse water well. It's only until 50% wear when you start to see if it really perform up to expectation.

Ya, i do agree with you. However, when i was with the ecopia 200 on the same car, they skid me while im cruising at around 80km/h on heavy down pour, they are around at 85% thread or around 4-5 months old.

For my measly vios, using 195/55 r15 Ventus v12 evo2 can get for rm215 with gst per pc. Good grip for my heavy foot and always taking fast corners. Happy with the wet performance especially.

Of course, this is for r15. U guys talking bout much bigger size lol

I just changed to V12EVO2 from CPC2
- more silent
- good performance.
- low rolling resistance.

I am happy with it

195/50/15 - RM183 - Changed 4 donuts included alignment and balancing

Low rolling resistance? Usually this is not a feature for UHP tires. Lower rolling resistance effectively means lower grip with the ground. Usually associated with economy tires.

Heard from a touge kaki (driving a turbo and heavily modded inspira), this evo2 tyre loses grip when hot. No grip at genting he said..
