Eh I used to play RO on a private server with ~1,000 people and it was just as fun as legit RO. I dare say that a private WoW server with that kind of population would be just as fun as regular WoW (assuming it's stable and is kept fairly up-to-date).

I mean seriously, you may say omg it's a MASSIVELY mmog, servers should have 24 million people, but how many do you interact with regularly? Most guilds will have probably 60-100 people max, and 95% of the time you're just talking/questing/instancing/raiding with these same people.

I love how you need to resort to personal attacks to try and argue your points.

BGs you only need 40 people per side. Arena is 5 on 5. AH can be made up for by increasing item drop rates. And end-game raids? You don't need a 10,000 pop server for that, you only need 50 active players in a guild.

Not that I've ever played on a WoW private server, but a dedicated "staff" running one could easily make the experience very very similar to legit servers.

i only resort to "personal" attacks because of your comment on private servers, its illegal, period. no other way around.

I don't run a private server, and I've never logged in a single minute into a WoW private server, so I don't understand why you're getting sand in your ***** like that. Just because it's illegal? I suppose ALL your software and MP3s on your computer right now are legit?

Anyway, all I said was, based on my (overall quite pleasant) experiences with an RO private server, that a WoW one could theoretically be just/almost as good as a public one. Theorycraft, for sure, but apparently you've never been on a private server either so how would you know it stinks?

Deo, your main basis for the entire argument is that "I can do whatever I want and I will not get caught. Because I'm not the person providing the service. I'm just the customer. I'm also not in a country under their ToS so they cannot sue me".

Haha do I really come across like some spokesperson for the Association of Private WoW Server Operators?

i dont deny that  not every software and mp3s in my computer is legit, but im working towards it as i now have a steady payjob. if anything, i listen to online radios instead of mp3, and im getting vista oem original on my new computer. hope this satisfy you.

Neither am I a spokesperson for the Business Software Alliance - what you buy or pirate isn't any concern of mine ... which is another way of saying, lots of my mp3's aren't legit, either whistling.gif

Whatever the case, let's just put this to rest. I usually like debate, but it's a bit pointless when I'm forced to defend something that I don't even play/feel for at all.

Damn right nod.gif Why should I take flak for something I don't believe in?
