Got the notification yesterday (how come it's given via a password protected PDF?) that the RM10 Supplementary Plan is no longer available and I will be moved to RM20 plan next month.

Can Maxis unilaterally do this? What if I wish to remain on the RM10 plan?

Agreed with bro, sisters here..I applied the supplementary line for my parents for emergency usage. They not required data plan at all and I don't agree with Maxis strategy.

Hence, I started to explore alternative and I found smthing interesting to share here "http://www.redone.com.my/plans/personal/red-plans/" , RM 8 postpaid with RM0.15 sen per usage. Their the MVO (mobile virtual network operators) on Celcom network.  It look good to me.Thinking to port out my supplementary lines.

If the coverage is good..then the main line will switch too. Anyone has use Red one before ?

Good idea. One thing though - I thought that you cannot port out just the supplementary lines, you have to do the principal line and the supplementary lines will follow.

To test coverage, just get a prepaid and use for a while. Coverage areas will vary so what's good for me may not be so good for you smile.gif

Take note Maxis has been upgrading their surfmore 50 and 75 with more data from 3 to 5 GB  and 5 to 7GB respectively foc. Info is from the here in the forum.
Maxis charging us more to supplement the lost revenue?

Apparently no more plans without data.. and no more Surfmore plans, only Maxis One plans are left. Which sucks since I hardly use voice/sms only data.

I got same issue too, I got 4 suppline under this plan too. Any other solution, if not gonna port out to other telco

Frankly it looks like Maxis is prepared to lose our RM10/mo subs - it's low ARPU for them and they want to focus more on the high-end customers.

Does Digi pre-paid still has 365 validity for RM40++?

Similar case here, my elderly is using it and we do not need the so call enhanced plan from maxis. I went to Maxis store today and I need to put my name in the demand list....
If unsuccessful, I will move on all my account to others. This is ridiculous!!!

Interesting! What's the "demand list" supposed to accomplish? Curious.

I believe those with RM10 plan got the SMS today said that if do not to wish to take up the new RM20 supp plan just call their hotline. I just call them and they say will maintain my RM10 supp plan without upgrading to enhanced plan. smile.gif

Ok. I have a few RM 10  supplementary lines. Will that still be valid? I went to Maxis in Gardens and they told me no more  such package. Cheapest RM 48/month...bloody hell.

Also, I want to upgrade one of those lins to the cheapest supplementary line that I can share data with primary line. I just want to use in a child gps watch... Which package or telco package is the best?  Rm 48/month damn overkill.

U mobile? But their sim card doesn't support 2G networks which the gps watch needs. Digi or perhaps Redtone RM8/month thing perhaps?

I understand that some folks get to keep their RM10 packages, not sure what the rules are.

If you want to share data, then the RM 15/mo two-sim one-line add-on may work for you?

(that is, if that one is still available shakehead.gif )
